 Redwood Racing UpdateRedwood Racing will field a team entry for the Sedan Showdown featuring the team's co-owners. More info can be attained from the press conference the team held with the announcement. Redwood Racing is also slated to partake in the Broughcar Redwood Cup this saturday with drivers Prutoog and BIGGamerer, who are also organizing the event. The team will seek formal approval to become a NODO verified team following the conclusion of this event. EDIT: And the team has now been NODO verified. We at Redwood Racing are excited to make our debut onto the racing scene this Saturday in Broughcar and hope to field entries into console events and more PC events soon. |

Redwood Racing Update (3/29/2016)
Redwood Racing is off to a hot start, scoring big in its debut event, the Broughcar Redwood Cup. Driver and co-owner redlaserbm swept the event, winning both races and easily claiming the drivers' title, while his teammate and team co-owner Prutoog scored a podium and a top-5 finish to secure the runner-up spot for the title. The team's overall strong performance allowed them to win the team title in dominating fashion over second place Team Princess Minty Bubblegum and send a message to rival teams that Redwood Racing is a competitive racing team.
redlaserbm had to this to say after the event: "I told you all I could win something if we got rid of the rights and just focused on lefts!" He additionally thanked the team, his teammates, his sponsor, and his sponsor again.
Allegations were brought forth during the conference by the other participants and especially NODO crew commissioner Sugar_Free_Nos that the event had been rigged in favor of Redwood Racing, but RR's PR manager denied these allegations: "Redwood, in providing sponsorship to teams and events, strives to create a racing environment that is fair and balanced, just like the flavor in our upcoming double-the-nicotine cigarettes."
Redwood Racing will prepare for its next event, The Sedan Showdown, this April, which will pit the cigarette company against its rival, Debonaire Motorsport, and its owner, Just Hero , for the first time in both teams' history. Redwood Racing Update (4/13/2016) Redwood Racing co-owners redlaserbm and Prutoog are ready to go for the upcoming two race event, The Sedan Showdowns, hosted by Just Hero , this Sunday, having now been designated cars and starting positions for race 1 for the one-off event. BIGGamerer will start 14th in race 1 using the Surge while Prutoog will start 24th with the Asea. BIGGamerer will use the Primo for race 2, while Prutoog will use the Cognoscenti 55. BIGGamerer commented: "Debonaire is a lousy cigarette company. I ain't ever gonna smoke any of their shit." He further affirmed that Redwood was the better cigarette and accused Debonaire of trying to give potential [Redwood] customers lung cancer. |

Redwood Racing Update (4/22/2016) Redwood Racing struggled in its second event, The Sedan Showdown, with neither of their main drivers able to make an impact on the field. Following a freak accident before the start of the race where a stray Debonaire cigarette ignited a fire in the garage, both of BIGGamerer's cars burst into flames, rendering them unusable. Whoever lit that cigarette is unknown but what is known is that no one should buy that Debonaire crap ever again. Redwood Racing scrambled to put together a last-minute reserve deal, eventually reaching DrKloden , who took the wheel for the team in race 2. Co-owner Prutoog did not have much better luck than his teammate, suffering from a mechanical failure in race 2. Despite the hardships, and thanks to Kloden's commendable effort, Redwood Racing beat Debonaire Motorsport, scoring 12th in team standings compared to Debonaire's dead last showing. |

Redwood Racing Update (5/3/2016)
Redwood Racing will field a team for Hertz 's upcoming Stock Coupe Endurance event. The team has already signed on newcomer @funkasize for the event, with team co-owner redlaserbm also signed up as a reserve for race 4 of the endurance, and hopes to recruit at least one more driver to have a shot at the team title, and once again one-up those scummy Debonaire bastards with another quality performance on the race track.
Co-owner BIGGamerer commented on the news: "It's so great to expand the team and get more people on board; I think the drivers, they're really enticed by the opportunity to compete with an up-and-coming team that already has a couple of wins under their belt, and it's only fitting that we sign on an up-and-coming driver to join our squad."
After a lackluster showing in the Sedan Showdown, many have speculated whether Redwood Racing can return to the podium, and do so for the first time on a non-oval track, and question the decision to sign on a rookie racer over a more experienced one. BIGGamerer, however, reaffirmed that the team is still capable of winning, after lighting up another Redwood cigarette.

Redwood Racing is back on top! (5/15/2016) Redwood Racing is back in victory lane, scoring wins in all 4 races of the Stock Coupe Endurance. @novesori won the first two races after qualifying well and launching to the front early. Last-minute reserve driver CHill took over novesori's seat for races 3 and 4, winning both races from the pole, completing the Redwood sweep. Divait , who subbed in last-minute for @funkasize , rounded out an all-around strong performance from Redwood with two podium finishes, and scoring 2nd place in the drivers championship. The strong performance allowed Redwood Racing to claim its second team championship, this time doing so edging out JiffiRacing, and demolishing rival team Debonaire Motorsport. Team Owner BIGGamerer was pleased with the result. "We had to do some searching around, but we had some good drivers on board with us for the event today who were in and out and all together put up strong finishes from start to end. Finally we can silence the critics who tell us we can't win unless it's redneck racing!" To celebrate, Gamerer lit up a double-the-nicotine Redwood cig and turned a couple lefts on his local short track. Redwood Racing is currently not scheduled for another event, but there is speculation going around about the possibility of an upcoming one-off oval endurance race, and that Redwood will enter this event. Redwood Racing to enter SATCC & Stock Compacts Endurance Redwood Racing announced its plans to partake in two more upcoming events, looking to build off of past success. RR owner redlaserbm yesterday accepted endersai 's invitation to join SATCC season 4, signing up with Redwood Racing. "I'm so excited to be a part of this prestigious event. SATCC is such a fun event that means a bunch to the drivers, there's been quite a bit of frustration popping up in recent events, but ender's trying to get racing back to where it was before when the racing was clean, tense, but fun, and for position. I think the fans from home will enjoy the action best if they got a Redwood in their mouths, their sister/cousin/nearest relative in one arm, and a bottle of some of that Patriot Beer in the other." To make his American fans proud, Gamerer opted once again to use the Banshee for this season. "Bravado's been making great vehicles over the past year or so, us and Bravado, we got a great relationship going dating back to Broughcar with making the Bravado Gauntlet the exclusive vehicle in race 2, crew commissioner Sugar_Free_Nos has been really cool talking with Bravado to put on some awesome events with their cars in general like the Bravado Cup and the Bravado Multi-class endurance, I really can't wait to get this murican horsepower out on the road!" Gamerer's last outing using a Bravado-manufactured vehicle--MCEC RON Raceway Muscles--went sour, but he deflected comments on the matter and ensured with Redwood colors on the car success would be guaranteed. On top of this high-priority news announcement comes another announcement that Redwood Racing will join Hertz 's Stock Compacts Endurance. Redwood again seeks to build off of the momentum from last time, now with team owner BIGGamerer set to drive in all 3 planned races. "It felt great to hop in the last race of the Stock Coupe Endurance and pick up my first podium in 6 weeks, now I'm looking for some more success, and a group of teammates who can also go down that road to success, maybe even lead the charge, with me." |

Redwood teams up with Debonaire to form ultimate big tobacco racing team for SATCC  (Above) Debonaire-Redwood Racing's #1 driver, BIGGamerer, stands outside his car at Xero Speedway, a racing facility which he owns. (5/24/2016) In a twist nobody saw coming, BIGGamerer and Just Hero have decided to put their cigarette rivarly aside and kill their remaining competition through collusion. The resulting effort is reflected in a two-company team for SATCC branded as Debonaire-Redwood Racing, featuring the team owners from both teams. Debonaire Motorsport owner HeroGut was reached for comment and provided the following response: "Debonaire has decided that fruitless competition is not the way to destroy small businesses effectively. This is why we have taken drastic measures to collaborate with our main competitor, Redwood Racing." BIGGamerer commented: "We promise this paternership, reflective of our new drug cartel is the best way for both companies to deliver lower quality cigarettes at higher prices. Y'all motherfuckers complaining best be glad we didn't just pay off your local politicians to subsidize our product!" Gamerer and Hero each bring to the super-team an interesting past performance record. Gamerer has won twice this year, helping Redwood to score its first team win in its debut event in Broughcar, but both his wins have come on ovals, tracks not to be seen--in fact, loathed by the event organizer--over the course of SATCC. Gamerer has otherwise enjoyed limited success in NODO racing events. Last season in SATCC, he scored 1 point for Maze Bank Autosport, the sole point coming after a 10th place finish in Montreal. HeroGut, like his teammate, has not had much success on the track, but can point to his team's shocking 1st place performance in The Pegassi Showdown as proof he can be a competitive driver. Both drivers are not expected to compete for the championship but are hopeful to surprise the competition over the course of the season. |

Redwood Racing sets sights on the next Stock Endurance Event (5/29/2016) Redwood is gearing up for the upcoming Stock Compacts Endurance from Hertz , now just one week away from starting. The team driver choice has shifted considerably from the last stock endurance event, with Redwood Racing's lineup now consisting of Stock Coupe Endurance Drivers' champion GooeyGoose , XB1 S3 MCEC GT1 driver Bezerka3 , and team owner and Broughcar Drivers' Champion redlaserbm . Gamerer remarked: "The lineup we have for the upcoming event is a powerful lineup, I'm so glad we could get a hold of two such highly-skilled drivers for this event. Honestly, I might have my work cut out for me trying to keep up with them!" Redwood Racing expects to compete for both the drivers' championship and the team championship. A team championship would mark RR's first set of back-to-back championships in team history.The path to victory won't be easy, however, as Redwood's 2 two-time winning drivers from the last Stock Endurance event have signed on with different teams this time around. |

Redwood Racing holds steady in SCE2, prepares for NOSCAR (6/4/2016) SCE2 concluded earlier today, with Redwood Racing scoring 3rd of 6 teams in the team standings. Team owner BIGGamerer was forced to drop the event after a scheduling conflict. Grotti F1 Season 2 Montreal winner fab. ICEMAN was brought in to take his spot. SCE1 champion GooeyGoose delivered a strong 4th place performance in the individual standings, with a podium finish in race 1. Teammate Bezerka3 achieved 6th, getting a podium finish in race 2, while ICEMAN's run for the championship was halted by two disconnects. He rallied to a runner-up finish in race 3 but ended up deep in the individual standings (11th). BIGGamerer discussed the disappointment in missing the event and congratulated his drivers for a 100% effort: "I really wanted to join in, but some things came up, it sucks, I really thought I could've picked up my second podium in two months. I gotta hand it to the team, I really wanted the team championship, the other drivers were a little better, but I think our sponsor Redwood will be happy with the payout we're taking home tonight." Racing fans, with the announcement from team co-owner Prutoog of the NOSCAR Senora 200 mile, are now anticipating a Redwood Racing entry into the event following its approval, but potentially without Broughcar drivers' champion BIGGamerer, who is expected to miss the event due to logistical issues. Reporters have spent no time speculating over who Prutoog may pick up as a teammate in place of Gamerer. Some have claimed Pru may try to pick up oval enthusiast, Banshee 900R addict and Le Mans S2 LMGT driver FriendlyBaron , others making a case for Le Mans S2 driver OhJeebus , some even going as far to suggest Just Hero may join in to reflect support for the new pact between the two monolith cigarette companies established for SATCC Season 4. Whereas Prutoog has gotten plenty of drive time in the past couple of months being a regular in MCEC GT3 on PC, it's been a little longer than a month since he last stepped foot in a Redwood Racing machine, his last start ending in a disappointing mechanical failure. Mich to sub for Hero in SATCC, Baron to make Redwood Racing debut (6/9/2016) Recent developments off the track have made Redwood Racing the center of discussion concerning its entries into events in the month of June. Debonaire-Redwood driver Just Hero announced he would be unable to make the first two weeks of SATCC due to a scheduling conflict. When reached for comment he provided the following response: "I tried to make it work but it was just not going to happen." The team talked with reserve driver michiski22 and was able to come to an agreement to have him drive races 1-4 in the car. Rumors concerning the possibility of oval enthusiast FriendlyBaron teaming up with Prutoog for the NOSCAR were confirmed today, as the two reached an agreement to have Baron drive for Redwood Racing in the one-off oval endurance. It will be Baron's first time starting for Redwood, but the GTAC crew leader is less of a rookie and more of a veteran after his experiences in Kloden's Le Mans S2. Co-owner BIGGamerer held a press conference where he opted to take questions about the recent news: "It's disappointing to not be able to have my teammate out on track for the season opener [and week 2], but michiski22 is a long-time veteran, he's been around on PC since the beginnings of the crew on PC, we here at Redwood will certainly welcome his presence for the few races we'll have him ... [Speaking on the NOSCAR news] Again, it's a shame I can't be in the seat [for NOSCAR], but Baron's been incredible on the racetrack, these ovals are kind of a wildcard, we haven't raced on them too much, Grumples_Plox (grimreaper977) says he can win the whole thing, but we got two drivers from Redwood who I think can say otherwise." |
