Red Deb preps for SATCC season finale (8/26/2016) Redwood Debonaire will drive the last two races of SATCC, hoping to end on a high note after what has been an up and down season. Pegassi Showdown team champion Just Hero last week posted Red Deb's best finish of the season, a 6th place effort on Monza, after contending for a podium spot for most of the race. Teammate redlaserbm rounded out the effort by driving from near last and recovering from a turn 1 crash to get his second top-10 finish of the season. The effort places the drivers now 17th and 15th in driver standings. The team maintains 11th in points but has an outside chance at grabbing 10th from rival team BG Motorsports. Gamerer commented on the teams recent results and an outlook towards the team's future: "I'm really proud of HeroGut and what he did at Monza, he took a car no one thought could compete for the win at that track, honestly he's a driver no one would pick to podium, and he drove the car near the front and went bumper-to-bumper with some of the top drivers in this championship. It's incredible. I was fortunate enough to get myself into the points as well, always a great feeling to do that, had quite the battle with SabertoothWolF and endersai near the end for 8th, wish I could've grabbed the spot from ender, but I'll be glad to move into the last week with this momentum. Race 14 wasn't so great for either of us, but honestly a couple of races ago we were just looking to score in the points, we'll take whatever we can get. ...After this season I ain't really sure what I want to do with the team. I hear the rumors floating around I might not do SAGTC, maybe I'll try and pick up Hero and keep the Red Deb operations going, maybe it'll be a Redwood only operation if I can't get him on board. Look, the rumors are just talk, nothing's set in stone, I can't answer anything. I'm kind of just taking things step-by-step here, hoping to grab a couple more points in Races 15 and 16, there's a pair of events I gotta focus on in early September, after that who the hell knows."

As I said in the SATCC thread, you'd be warmly welcome in SAGTC. That ascendant form of yours needs to keep racing!

Redwood picks up Krizz for I6 Supercars (8/31/2016) Today, Redwood Racing publicly announced the recruitment of Vans Master Race winner Krizz as a teammate to team co-owner Gamerer for the upcoming I6 event. Gamerer addressed the news in a press conference held today: Gamerer, what led to the decision to pick krizz?"Funny story about that actually, I wasn't really quite ready yet to go searching for drivers to fill the seat but krizz went and showed up to the front door of our team garage and asked me straight up for the ride! And I mean, he's got pace, he's got that win with the vans under his belt, with that kind of enthusiasm, I just had to take him in for the event." Now that you have a full team ready to go, what do you hope to get out of the race?"krizz being on the team will be a big help, honestly I think I'll have trouble keeping up with him! Our Sultan RS programme's been a little lacking since the run we made back in the Redwood Cup, having to meet different specs for this event also throws things off, but I think he'll be happy with the level of equipment we got available here, I'm hyped up to get on the track myself too and try and post a good finish, that race weekend's gonna be pretty busy, there's a couple of other events coming up after it and I could use the momentum."

I´m happpy to be a part of the Redwood Racing Team for this Race, I mean just take a look at one of Redwood´s Sultan RS: No doubt the Redwood Racing Sultan RS´s will be one of the best looking cars on the grid. I´m really looking forward to drive with you as teammate redlaserbm . I really like the positive mindset you have no matter what happens in a race. Thanks for your kind words aswell but if everything will go well you should be faster than me. I mean we had some battles in the past and most of them you won I haven´t practiced much yet but that will change the next days, the good thing is I know the track allready, so that will make things easier. Lets see what Redwood Racing can do in the 42 laps next friday

Redwood with solid showing in I6 (9/10/2016) Redwood Racing came out from the I6 supercars event with a 10th place finish from Krizz and a 12th place showing from redlaserbm . A chaotic start allowed Gamerer to move up as high as 7th early on, while Krizz methodically picked his through the field. Gamerer faded late, eventually finishing one lap down, but Krizz managed to drive his car to a top-10 finish in a field of 24 cars. "Not gonna lie we were missing something these other guys had. It was a bit frustrating hopping in there knowing I was hitting lap times on average about 1.5 seconds off the leaders, but I still had fun trying to hold my track position after being able to claim it early," Gamerer commented. "Krizz had a respectable showing on the track, great to see him take the starting spot he had, and keep charging through the field. I'd love to get him back on board for a couple more races with Redwood, but the nature of these races in NODO, y'know, driver deals come on a race-by-race basis, so we'll move on, and hope the stars align again." In other news, with Prutoog out, Redwood hired rookie driver erikd94 to take his place for the upcoming Broughcar event. Gamerer is hopeful the team can put at least two of its cars in the top 5 in the upcoming race.

I have to say that racing for Redwood Racing was great fun, and I´m happy with the results we got for the team. Finishing in 10th and 12th, after starting on 18 and 19, is a really good result for Redwood and I would say probably the best we could get from the starting positions we had. For me the key to that result yesterday/today was good Teamwork. For example at one point, after you did all your 3 pits you asked me if you should let me pass, but I only did 2 pits at that moment so it made sense that you stayed ahead(...and I choked 15 seconds later anyway). To the end of the race you really helped me with great defending against mountain and michiski, so I had no pressure to secure the 10th place finish. I saw your VoD from the Race and I have to say you had some impressive overtakes and as I allready said great defending too, with a nice twist at the end Thanks again for letting me be in your team and I would love to team up with you again if there is an opportunity for that in the future(something like a Sultan RS Championship for example, so I can drive 1 of the 2 best looking cars again)´. Oh and I wish you guys good luck for the Broughcar Lifeinvader 120 race.

It was great fun racing for Redwood at the Broughcar race! I have to say the car was brilliantly set up by redlaserbm and it was probably the major reason I was able to get a top 10 finish starting from the back. I appreciate the opportunity and hope I'll be able to race with the Redwood colors again sometime soon.

Gamerer nabs Redwood's 9th win
(9/11/2016) Redwood Racing co-owner BIGGamerer, in a milestone 20th start for the team, once again drove one of his teams' cars to victory lane in the Lifeinvader 120. In a race marred by controversy and chaos, Gamerer played the strategy card to emerge as the leader late and had just enough luck left after being caught up in numerous incidents with lapped cars to hold off a dominant and hard-charging Grumples_Plox (grimreaper977) , claiming his 5th ever non-playlist win, and Redwood's 9th win in team history. Teammate erikd94 had a strong showing in his first ever NODO event, driving from the back to the top half of the field, eventually finishing in 8th. Teammate Divait , who was competitive early and looked to be in contention for a top-5 finish, unfortunately suffered a mechanical failure midway through and was credited with a 17th place finish. The team effort from Redwood was enough to claim second place in the points again. Gamerer took questions about the race in a press conference afterwards: Gamerer, you weren't the dominant car or the fastest car on the track, how did you end up with the win?"I knew we had to do something different than the leaders to make up for our bad starting spot. We had pace to run on par with the leaders but we didn't have anything that could let us run away from them so I rolled the dice and opted for some early pits to try and shake things up. It was risky but I think it paid off in the end with those safety cars that came out." There's some discussion going on about that last safety car, which allowed you to clinch the win, what do you have to say about it?"It is a little weird because it was a crash I got caught up in that triggered that safety car, that call probably saved me from being passed, but the sanctioning body I think is consistent with its calls to give the leader the benefit of the doubt, we made a similar call back in the Redwood Cup when grim got caught up in that huge melee in race 2, it works both ways. Honestly I was a bit surprised the safety car was called as late as it was, I mean, unoccupied car roaming the middle of the track, huge safety concern, and the safety car is deployed only after a fourth of the field gets collected in it." Let's talk about the team results. Once again the team loses to rival Team Princess Minty Bubblegum. What will it take to finally win the team championship again?"It's gonna take depth in the line-up. We just gotta keep exploring our options within the crew, find a rookie driver we can develop, find a veteran driver who can show up and deliver, and I think we had that going here. Kinda sucks for Divait he had that disconnect, he was hitting good lap times in practice, I think he could've been up there racing on the lead lap at the end of this thing, but this was a great run for erikd94 . I mean, he kept his nose clean, ran laps, and passed some people and moved up through the field. It's a great performance for someone just getting into the groove of racing with NODO. We'll keep working on it race-by-race, hopefully we can claim that elusive team trophy in the future." Let's look forward to the future. This is Redwood's ninth win. When does win #10 happen?"I want to bring the team back for SAGTC. The team had an up-and-down season even with that help from the Deb guys, but I think win 10 ould show up during that championship. We'll wait and see on it."

An error in some previous posts pertaining to Redwood Racing's win count has been corrected, this is the result of an oversight of a win achieved by Madderose in SCE3.

Redwood preps for Federal 404 (9/24/2016) Gamerer announced today in a press conference that his team would once again enter Broughcar, this time fielding a full team for the upcoming Federal 404. Gamerer has opted to hire past Broughcar teammates Divait and erikd94 for the upcoming event. A transcript of the conference is given below: Gamerer, why hire the same drivers as last time?"I think the answer to that one should be very obvious. Part of this is about building team synergy. Obviously if you get the same guys in the garage again like last time then people can cooperate better, really get that team spirit going in the garage. Divait's been a quick driver throughout NODO, the Le Mans' Semi-Pro championship, the runner-up effort in SCE1 with us, we want to get him in some equipment that'll get him competing for a podium. And getting erikd94 in here is about getting him more experience behind the wheel. The first time around [in the Lifeinvader 120] he did a great job for someone unaccustomed to racing with the crew, maybe he'll get himself in a comfort zone this time around and click off laps. Redwood hasn't won the team points in Broughcar since the Redwood Cup. Can you guys do it this time?"Oh yeah, totally, we can make it happen. I think there's some concerns in that department that we might not be able to do it picking up a driver that is still relatively inexperienced, but the Redwood Racing oval programme has always been strong, we unload in the garage on race day and the whole garage goes silent out of fear. *laughs*" Grumples_Plox (grimreaper977) thinks he can win the race. Your thoughts?"It's on."

Redwood to enter SAGTC (10/3/2016) Redwood Racing owner BIGGamerer announced today that his team would enter the 5th season of the prestigious San Andreas Grand Touring Championship, hiring Vans Master Race winner Krizz as a teammate. The announcement came as expected after speculation regarding a recent transaction of 2 Seven70's by the Redwood team. This season will be Gamerer's 3rd in the series, and when the sticky bombs go off for race 1, it will be his 19th SAGTC race start. Gamerer addressed the media in a press conference held earlier today. A transcript follows below: Gamerer, there was a lot of speculation over the Seven70 purchases, now that we know what they're being used for, why this vehicle in particular?"I was fortunate enough to test out a Seven70 off of endersai 's garage for one of the upcoming tracks. With my past experiences I haven't really put a lot of laps in the car in general but it had a lot of promise, I think it's a fun powerful car which hopefully we as a team can put in the points many times during the season." Gamerer, you've made 18 starts in the series, but no podiums yet. Does that change this season?"That one's gonna be tough, not gonna lie you're asking for a lot. Even with the effort we had out there last season with the Debs we were kind of underfunded, but we had some great finishes come out here and there when we put a little extra work into the car, we'll put that work into the car where we can and see what can happen. There's a few tracks I wanna circle on the calendar to focus hard on, a couple of them will play more into my skill set than others and I want to emphasize those tracks over the others. The way this points system works, it's very top heavy, good finishes mean a lot, obviously then it's better to devote energy to the tracks I'm good at." How about for teammate Krizz ? What led to hiring him? What can we expect out of him during the season?"Krizz is quite a humble person in the garage, I think there's a lot the community doesn't know about him, he's a solid driver, he really proved his stuff back in I6, I think he'll be able to get nice and comfy in our equipment. Obviously it's a bummer we can't have Just Hero on board like last season but Krizz was the next driver circled on the list and I think the energy and atmosphere he'll provide for the team will be great." --END TRANSCRIPT-- While expectations are set for Redwood to be a mid-field team, both Redwood drivers should not be underestimated, as both have a history of winning and in fact have combined for 5 non-playlist wins in 2016, including Krizz's win in the Vans Master race and Gamerer's 4 wins in Broughcar. Screenshots of the Redwood Racing Seven70 are not yet available, but speculation has arisen over a possible unveiling ceremony sometime before race 1.

Redwood dominance on ovals ends (10/22/2016) Grumples_Plox (grimreaper977) qualified on pole, led a huge portion of the race, lapped most of the field, in fact at one point had the entire field lapped, and won the Federal 404 to break Redwood Racing and Gamerer's win streak on ovals. For a competitor regarded by some as a favorite to win, Gamerer struggled, failing to lead any laps, but was able to recover and find his rhythm after running into lapped traffic early to pick up a 2nd place finish for Redwood Racing. Teammate erikd94 struggled, placing 10th in the 14 car field, giving Redwood a 3rd place finish in the points. Reporters caught up with Gamerer after the race to hear his comments: Gamerer, the win streak on ovals comes to an end, but you were still able to pick up a 2nd place finish, how do you feel?"Obviously there's gonna be a couple people disappointed we weren't out there leading the most laps and lapping the field, but honestly I'm very proud of the team effort, I gave it my best effort today, I think this performance is the type of performance, where, if we keep it up, we'll be back in victory lane again. I was really hoping for a safety car near the end to have a shot at grim but I guess it didn't happen. The racing at the start was really tense, me and GalantEvo went hard at it for 3rd, I wanted the lead early to establish pace and control of the field, but me and him accidentally made contact, set us back a bit. Then we had that incident with podiman45 later on, that one cost me a bit of time, shit happens though, I just had to keep going. Overall I had a lot of fun, the guys at Redwood do a great job of making sure we're always fielding cars that can win the race, I'm very excited to go out there again in about 3 weeks and try for another win." What about that incident with GalantEvo [ignoring the blue flag]?"It's really not a big deal. At that point my only shot to win it was a safety car, once he got back by me I just let those two guys battle it out. Sometimes people rag on him too much, we're all just out here to race and have fun." What do you do differently to prepare for the next Broughcar event?"That's one gonna come down to track familiarity, maybe a bit fewer mistakes, consistency is always king for these races." How about the team performance? You got 3rd place in the points this time around?"This is about the same thing I said earlier. We gotta keep developing our rookie drivers. erikd94 unfortunately ran into some trouble during this race, but we're getting him some important on-track time every time we do this, just gotta keep looking on the upside, take away the good stuff from today. Reporters were also able to interview erik after a debriefing with teammate Gamerer: erik, it looked had you had a rough day out there finishing near the back of the pack, tell us about the race from your POV"It was a tough one for me. The weekend started out pretty well as I secured a spot on the second row of the starting grid during qualifying. Unfortunately I couldn't take advantage of it because of a race incident on lap 2. I was waiting for the driver I hit to go past and as I was looking behind me, I went too far to the left of the track past the barrier. At that point I was trying to find the exit but the barrier didn't have another break. This led me to drive back to the spot I had originally entered from and wait for all of the cars to go past before re entering the track. It was painful to watch, I lost 2 laps pretty much right off the bat. I was playing catch up pretty much all race long, but I tried to keep it consistent and at least made it to 10th. I also experienced communication issues as my mic wasn't working. At one point there was some controversy as the leader said "why would you race with the leader if you're not even battling for position". Well, I had let him past, I wasn't slowing him down and if anything, he was slowing me down, it's a race after all, as long as you respect the blue flag, you still have to give 100% even if you're behind. Thankfully I wasn't involved in any more incidents but I was trying to get into as many battles as I could to keep the unlucky event interesting. Once again, thank you to the guys at Redwood for always keeping the car in great condition." EDIT: erik's interview above was added after erik made his post below in case you're wondering why his post is there

You just, don't.Jacksheepe Racing will be ready for any future battles with Redwood Racing to see who's better at taking left turns. Also we're totally gonna see if we're able to smoke our Lawn Mowers 'cuz cigarettes sound cool.

Redwood back to Broughcar for Lando-Corp 101, eager for win (10/25/2016) Team owner BIGGamerer as expected announced in a press conference today that he would enter his Redwood Racing team into the next Broughcar event to be held at Lando-Corp Speedway. The announcement comes just days after the team fielded a strong 2nd place effort from BIGGamerer in the Federal 404, albeit one overshadowed by Grumples_Plox (grimreaper977) 's dominance during the race. Insiders are reporting that negotiations to get team co-owner Prutoog back in the car and in his first Broughcar event since July are in the final stages. There is currently no word on who the 3rd driver will be, but speculation has arisen that Gamerer may try to either re-sign Divait or erikd94 . A transcript of the press conference follows below: Gamerer, you've had a lot of success in the Broughcar series, how do you continue that success going into [the Lando-Corp 101]?"Like last time our R&D department is gonna play a big role here in ensuring when we unload from the garage on race day that we have a well-tuned car. This is gonna be the third time using a brand new chassis for the series, thankfully the sanctioning body was able to choose a much cheaper chassis from the guys at Imponte for this one, the car itself is unique, there's certainly gonna be some things we'll need to do under the hood to make sure it's fast in the corners." The team stumbled to a mid-pack finish in the points last time, how do you guys rebound and ensure that this time you have a clear shot at the team championship?"Practice will certainly help. That and a good sense of pit strategy. Really when it comes down to team efforts for this race it's really just 3 great individual efforts and that'll turn into a good team day when it's all said and done." Later after this race you'll be in the Seven-70 for endersai 's SAGTC, how do prepare for a doubleheader like the one you'll have to do on the 11th?"Obviously it's tough, it's a balancing act, three tracks to practice for in one day, it makes hitting those goals in SAGTC just a little bit harder. We just had that talk about attitude and racecraft and respect after the pre-season test and I gotta be on my toes about it while those races are going on. Really just a couple extra hours in the driver's seat like that can wear you out if you're not prepared to take it. But we know it's happening, I got a lot of time to get prepped up for this one, I'm hopeful I can emerge from the day with 3 really good finishes." --END TRANSCRIPT-- In 5 starts in the Broughcar series, Gamerer has 4 wins and a 2nd place finish. Gamerer is hopeful to add a 5th Broughcar win to his record and also achieve back-to-back points finishes that day in SAGTC.
