Entity was too hard for me to drive and there was only 5 laps to practice. Also, didn't you get the nr. 1 laptime in entity? If i remember right you got some 08 time with it at some point, don't remember anyone else getting that low. I've got a fmj 1:08:7xx Fab.iceman a 1:08:5xx as well So all cars were really on pace I believe oh, i see. i missed that.

Sandy Shores Cup, victory for fabRICMAN!Undoubtedly a good day for driver #990 fab. ICEMAN and his FMJ! Winning the jackpot: an easy win in the final, the fastest lap, a 140,890$ cash prize, and a second gold medal to break his tie with novesori for the first position in the leaderboard. In second position, driver #051 Ganjalo also driving the FMJ, bringing home his first medal, followed by #048 st0cking grabbing the bronze medal with her Osiris and breaking her three-way tie with Madderose and lewjen (smithyonetwelve) . The times, now : the cars were very close to each other (0.4 seconds difference in testing) but lots of love were shown to the FMJ, chosen by more than half of the drivers. For the first time, #000 arken (a.k.a. The Stig) is not the fastest man on the track. Driver #990 fab. ICEMAN , with a good lead on everyone behind him in the final, pushed his FMJ to a lap time of 01:08.423 (01:08.812 in 3-laps testing), stealing the feat from #007 Benimi who had just beaten arken's time with the Entity XF in the 1st heat (01:08.859, against 01:08.952 in testing). The best efforts of #800 Reedly (iliado) brought the Zentorno to 01:09.973 (01:08.805 in testing), and #700 @hiberg pushed the Osiris to 01:09.325 (01:08.549 in testing). The average qualifying time was 01:10.398. The regretted Tyrus was tested at 01:08.176, with room for improvement. Sandy Shores Cup winnersHall of Fame-- For the first time, we started with 20 players and ended with 20! We also ended with (just) 20 minutes of delay, which I completely blame on Rockstar and the broken GTA stunt races. I was faster at sorting out my spreadsheet and we also did shorter races, which I think was even more fun and action-packed this way. My only regret is that I didn't pick the Entity! I wanted to change right after the qualifying. The FMJ was strong and easy to drive but the Entity could have been more fun. I'll maybe add a rule that allows one change of car before the pre-final, against a last position start for the pre-final race. I will, sadly, most likely not host the Cup until the GTA mode is fixed, and as we all know this can be "any" time, so... We'll see. But when I do, I'm leaning towards Sport Classics, AbeCede . ;) Tagging Nonchalant Dominators

To be honest, I chosed the FMJ based on my skill and practice at the time, it was just easier for me to drive it without practicing GTA racing everyday. I knew all of them are good, based on arken testings, so I just chosed the one most fitting. I saw the Zentorno time, but I wasn't interested in the Zentorno or Osiris driving, and I did hesitate between Entity & FMJ, but decided to align myself on my personnal preference I love corner speed, and FMJ delivers. Well, that's why I was screwed after the lag incident between the two of us, I had no corner speed left after my rear was destroyed. I don't have any problem with people chosing different cars (or even same cars), especially on this track and with our carpool, it was interesting Entity was too hard for me to drive and there was only 5 laps to practice. Also, didn't you get the nr. 1 laptime in entity? If i remember right you got some 08 time with it at some point, don't remember anyone else getting that low. Out of the 4 practice sessions, on the first one Divait got the fastest lap-time with an FMJ, on the other 3 I got it in order with FMJ, Osiris than Zentorno, faster in every session, the best was a 1:09.0xx. Then only car that didn't got the fastest lap-time, in any of the sessions was the Entity. My 1:08.8 was in the first heat.

Practice times doesn't matter? Nope, free practice was meant to be held in a Capture job with spawned cars and no checkpoints, and obviously no times. We actually did it that way in the first 2 or 3 Cups, but that proved to be too restrictive (can't spawn all cars from a class, can't repair cars, too much work to recreate tracks with bridges or complex structures) and was abandoned. I didn't take any screenshots from the practice sessions anyway. :p

Ganjalo : Is this completed, or just on hold? This is an event that happens every other month, always switching up tracks and cars. So that's why it's being kept in the active events as the host just bumps the thread and marks all the previous participants to make sure everyone sees when there's a new cup coming up.

You might have read that the GTA mode is currently not available in Stunt Races, which is kind of a hassle. I'll tag everyone in this thread when I announce the next Cup, as usual. :)
Check out the other events, or the daily playlist.

So, since the new props are available in other game modes, are the Practice sessions going to be a capture mode again?

I stopped using Capture jobs because not all cars in a class are available in Captures; and there's no way of repairing cars. Also I have to reproduce the track with enough fidelity and that's a pain :p
