Devin Weston Racing
Devin Weston: Hello everyone, let me introduce myself for those who really should know who I am, but for some reason, they don't. I'm Devin Weston, and I'm the owner of my own Racing team, called "Devin Weston Racing". Since Cloud Sport don't want ro invite our team, to hold a press conference with the drivers, I'm holding it on my own, because I can do it.
Today I'm joined with the team's brand new line up for the San Andreas Touring Car Championship,
Benimi and
Codex_PT84✈🚁🚘 . FIA decided to make the SATCC to an invte only championship, how do you guys like to got invited to the new season of the SATCC?:
Codex_PT84: I was kind of suprised for the invitation actually. After taking the Young Driver's Test and on the first weekend tryout didn't go as planned. Too much hot blood running in every young studs, everyone wanted to show competetive strengh and I ended up on the last places. I felt I was so off pace of the respectfull veterans. And I must say that my car choice wasn't the best. I went for the popular one's instead of choosing the ones I prefer the most. I thought my chances ran out and I was out of the game.
Fortunatly, on the second tryout, went for the "Carbonazzi" and the Surano. Managed to finish on the top 10 twice and ahead of some of the veterans and had some good battles. And in the last couple of laps of the second race, had an intense battle with Chill.
This is a competition is my "Most Wanted" and I'm very proud of being offered the chance to be a part of it!
benimi: After Season 3 of the SATCC ended such a sudden note, I was really disapointed, that was my first season, and I was rather unlucky with my results. I really wanted to show that my real pace is was what I had on round 5 and 6. But right after that I got the invitation to the next season, and I'm practising for the new season since.
DW: Both our drives have shown really good performances in the past, and I believe they have potential to do even better. We in Devin Weston Racing like to give opportinities younger drivers with long carrier infront of them. My Next question for you guys is: How do you feel like to be part of the Devin Weston Racing team?
b: It is really good here, compare to my last team, the atmosphere is much better I can feel the professionalism from the engineers and the mechanics. And we have a lot more opportunity to test, which I really didn't have in Maze Bank, where we only could test when we teamed up with the factory Karin team get the tracks reserved for just for us. Everything just looks way better here.
C: For me, as a young driver in the SATCC and be a part of this new project, is a ambitious goal and yet, a realistic one. With so many resources available, we have everything to make a stand in this thrilling competition. My job is to give all my best and leave it all on the tracks!
DW: In SATCC, there are a lot of cars to choose from, but the best is obviously the Verlierer, because it is the most expensive. So I give the job to my two favourite nigga to get the cars a much lower price, and they did a really good job, I can say the car was almost free. Guy how do you feel about the Verlierer?
C: With such an expensive car available, you can only hope for the best! I just want that the team engineers upgrade and tuned up the car in order to the pilots, with sweat, blood and tears do what they do best! The Pre-Season's test will take a huge part for everyone in the team!
b: I really like the car. For first it was really hard to drive, which just indicates it's potencial on the track. But after hundreds of test kilometers, and a great team behind me, we are at the point where we have a great set-up to start with for most tracks. The car feels so good now, I can't wait to see how well I can do in it in the pre-season test.
DW: That is good to hear, pleas tell me what do you think where are you going to be in the championship, what kinda results are expecting to get?
b: I said it a few times, after Season 3 round 6, where I got a podium, the next step forward is to win a race. It is not going to be easy, the competition is much tougher than it was last time, but I can't just give up right before it started. In the corse of the championship, I'd like to be top 10 in most of the races, and got a top10 finnish at the end of the season.
C: I was being pretentious if I said that I want to win the Championship. As my Idol Ayrton Senna
once said :"You must take the compromise to win, or else nothing. That means: you race or you do not.". Of course I'll be aimming for the top spot on each and every race. But the with so many Top-notch drivers, I must be respectfull to them and hope for the best. For a young stud and a new team, finishing in the points would be great, everything from there will be awesome!
DW: You guys told us about the championship, the car, the team, it is time to share us what are your thoughts about your team mate.
C: When I knew that Benimi was going to be my teammate, I was thrilled because having the chance to learn from such an experienced driver, you can only improve and with his support you could aim higher and higher. I just hope I can give a third of what he has already giving me.
b: When I got my contract from Devin Weston Racing, they said I'll be the more experienced driver out of the 2, and I'll need to help my teammate who is going to get out from the YDT, I was quite suprised at first that somebody thinks I'll be able to do that, but the team said I'm up to the task. Then the team told me they got Codex, and I was really happy about that, I worked with Codex before in MCEC, when I was reserving for Iceman. We had a single test together, where I show him some of my little tricks I got from racing beforehand, and he leard just so quick, and profited so much from it, as he told me.
DW: This is amazing guys, thank you very much for joining me today, we are about to end, so if you have something else to share, this is the time.
C: I just hope by the end of this season you'll have reasons to be interviewing me. Cheers!
b: I was a plessure to be here. The only thing I'd like to share is what I think of the winner car of the last season:
