Yeah I'll amend the OP at some point to the non-shared section union grain. Got a few juicy things to come actually for you guys. As for Parsons: that section which is not a jump according to Nos, is unavoidable. There's no way to avoid it and have the rest of the track as is. I had excellent battles with bladecruiser there last season where for lap after lap we'd battle and the memory is fond enough to make me say that it deserves its place as our season opener without a doubt. So, some updates. Grid size and pointsWith the grid increasing to 28 we are increasing the number of points scoring places by 2 to 12. This also means the points scored changes from, but is still inspired by, the FIA points system we use now: Special thanks to ovivoJR for helping get the quantum worked out: 1st 25pts 2nd 20pts 3rd 18pts 4th 16pts 5th 14pts 6th 12pts 7th 10pts 8th 8pts 9th 6pts 10th 4pts 11th 2pts 12th 1pt Exit 4a 1-Way pitsThe track has been updated by Grimreaper and has included the original vision for the pits. The pit exits near the racing line so drivers will be expected, as per every other race, to exit the pit in a safe fashion. If you are someone who exits slowly ahead of a quick driver because your race > everything else, I will expect that called out by whomever you fucked over and you'll be taking a drive through penalty (since you love the pits so much). I cannot stress this enough; I personally have had to hold off exiting the Montreal pits for this precise reason. Zero tolerance this year on first lap incidents and unsafe releases, remember that.

Good to hear you adjusted the point system, i was gonna suggest that too when i saw we're 28 drivers this time. We drove the exit4a from blade in playlist today and a lot of people said it's much better than grims version. I haven't played grims so i can't say anything about that or what people mightve not liked on his version but maybe blade and grim could figure out something together oh and i love parson the way it is anyways, whether thats a jump or not

The pits on the original were designed for a purpose. Blades was tested as was Grims. Grim added my pits to his. That's the version we're using.
Blade made an excellent track but the final version is not something where feedback is being sought nor wanted.

I'm Allen James from Cloud Sports and I'm here today at the Los Santos Yacht Club for a pre-season press conference with a number of the Season 4 drivers.
In the back row, we have St0cking from <Team TBC>; Tonyborbony from Gruppe Sechs Racing; and Pezby from TerrOIL Racing.
In the front row, we have Endersai from Progen Racing; DNL Jackson from Pfister Racing, and Missnuggles from Arcadius Autosports.
Standing to their right, saluting the American flag on the wall, is Sugar_Free_Nos from Bravado Racing.
St0cking, first question is to you - this is now your second season in SATCC and you and your team mate, Ganjalo, impressed in Season 3 with the underpowered Karin Sultan. Can you give us any insights into what car you'll be driving this season?
St0cking: Don't you worry, press release soon come™. We up to somethin'.
What is the goal for the team this season? Do you think either of you will be in a position to challenge for a win?
St0cking: They don't want us to #win, they wanna #finish us, they want us #broke, they want us #miserable. They don't want us to be #blessedup, they don't want us #allthewayup, so what we gon' do is be #ALLTHEWAYUP.
Hashtag thank you for that. Tonyborbony, this is your first season in SATCC. What attracted you to Gruppe Sechs and what made you decide you wanted to get in on the Gruppe Sechs action?
Tony: Well, my buddy, and teammate, Tspoon (also known as 'Turtle', which I suspect is in reference to him being quite proficient in turtleing his car) is the crew leader. So when he approached me about joining Gruppe Sechs I just dove straight in. I think what attracts me most to Gruppe Sechs is that the drivers are all about having fun. And, as will become apparent as this championship progresses, we are really good at taking a pounding. You pound us and we'll bounce right back to return the favor.
Rumour in the paddock is that the driver to your left, Pezby, is a mentor and... <takes paper out of pocket> Pezby, the writing is smudged, does it say "inspiration"? - erm, a mentor and inspiration to you. How lucky are you to know - which has been spelled here as "no" - the legend that is Pezby?
Tony: <laughs> I wouldn't necessary say that I'm lucky knowing the "legend" that's Pezby. He's definitely played a big part in the early days of my racing career and I've learned a lot from him. Though the question remains whether or not it's time for Pezby to go into retirement. He often complains about his diminishing eyesight and as such I can never be certain if his observations are completely accurate. So if my driving seems a bit off, you have him to thank for that. But at the end of the day I still like him and think of him as a dear friend, despite his diminishing age and sometimes crass personality. And of course I'm grateful that he's guided me in the early days of my career.
Pezby, this is your third full season in SATCC, but fourth if we take your reserve drives into consideration. Back with the Comet and staying with TerrOIL. What are you most excited about this season?
Pez: 'Im excited to be back in the Cake, formerly known as the Comet. Its great to see a fantastic bunch of new drivers welcomed into the arena. I hope they all do well. Most importantly im looking forward to a fun and enjoyable season without any dramas.
In Season 2, MrRi0es ran off, presumably with a Brazillian au pair, and left you. Then in Season 3, Sabertoothwolf ragequit retired early for the season. How are you going to ensure your teammate sticks it out for the season?
Pez: MrRi0es has never been heard of since he hit the big time with the Brazilian au pair. There have been rumours that he has since fathered 14 children and is currently working in the Brazilian Nike factory making shoes to feed his massive family. If i again lose a team mate that will be it !! I will become an independant driver. I have also decided to take the RED neons and be TerrOIL's #1 driver for this season. I have been happy to be the #2 driver in the past, but odds are ill finish the season alone, again, so i may as well be the #1 team driver.
Endersai, onto you. Is it ever strange interviewing yourself?
Endersai: No, I've often found I know exactly the right answer for the question.
You have replaced Oh_Darn with fab.ICECREAM for Season 4. How confident are you in Progen's changes?
Ender: Yeah, very. We only hire the best #1 drivers we can get, and now that fab.RICMAN has returned from battling orcs in New Zealand, we are able to secure his services. In my opinion you might as well just go straight to Season 5, and just crown Iceman S4 champion now. Save the time and fuel.
So you expect him to take the driver's title?
Ender: Without a doubt. He's fast, he's in a good car, and his rivals had 2 seasons without him. This means they only want to crash into each other and not him. We'll do everything we can as a team to ensure Iceman has a clear path to victory ahead of him.
Jackson, onto you. Second season with OvivoJR; you two seem to be a really good pairing.
Jackson: Oh yeah *wink*
Pezby: He says that to everyone Allen. Such a tease.
Endersai: He winked at his own reflection in the mirror before realising it was a mirror the other day.
You're driving the Comet this season, something your team-mate once described as a "curb boosting piece of cake". Is this how you see the car? What are your impressions so far?
Jackson: The Comet is a pleasure to drive. Sure it is a bit hard to tame sometimes but if you manage this you will have a great time while driving the Comet. And never forget, the cake is a lie!
Snuggles, to you. Another SATCC rookie yet you are racing with not just an SATCC veteran, but an SATCC champion in the form of doompenguin. What have you been able to learn from him so far?
Snuggles: When Season 3 Champion Doompengiun was approached by the team during the YDT, part of his contract was to work with our team to improve both drivers and crew and to provide us with the wisdom of an experienced racer and team set us up with a strong start to our racing portfolio. The first piece of wisdom bestowed on myself from Doompenguin was to always bring a bodyguard or a weapon to a pre-race meet up and if any of the practice sessions are to go by, he's spot on. Though, I sometimes wonder if he is the only one bringing weapons. Everything else will be shown on the track in front of dedicated racing fans.
Arcadius has quite a strong driver lineup this season. What are your personal goals, and what are the team's goals?
Snuggles: Being a rookie driver in a rookie team, there is plenty to learn and achieve from here. Being in a point scoring position will be my main goal with a secondary being to learn as much as I can racing around some of the best drivers in the world. While bettering myself, I aim to show the world that Arcadius has what it takes to compete with the more experienced teams. Arcadius Autosports will make a name for ourselves and prove that we can be contenders in major events in San Andreas and abroad. After securing a partnership with Grotti to drive the Carbonizzare, we believe that we will have a strong showing in the coming SATCC. Our competitors would be wrong to underestimate a young team this season and will be surprised by our pace on the track.
Finally to you, Sugar_Free_Nos. Four seasons in, and 3 with Bravado. The season starts at tracks you helped design for the FIA - can you get another podium for the Banshees?
Nos: Absolutely. Myself and Smithyson are absolutely guaranteed to be 1st and 2nd in both races on week 1. I now have captured one of the Queen's top Motorsport drivers and turned him against the rest of the world, standing side-by-side with the most American American in this competition.
We are the strongest drivers, we have the best car, and we will be victorious. The US of A never loses.
Pezby: Except Vietnam
Nos: Pezby! I swear to god!
What is the plan for you and your teammate - will you learn to play real sports and drink tea, or will you make him terrified of adjectives and enjoy driving in circles?
Nos: Integration of one of the Queen's most formidable drivers has not been an easy one. Firstly we sent him straight to the Los Santos Dentist to fix what those horrible genes over there have done (at his own cost of course). I mean, I get inbreeding jokes all the time thrown my way, but this chap was something else. Secondly, we put him through multiple training courses to adjust him to shifting with his right hand, and used some of NASA's best technology to completely wipe all memory of roundabouts from his mind. Afterwards, we had to fix both his writing and speech. It took 3 months for him to stop saying "mate" and "bruv", and it took 6 for him to start writing words without putting an "e" on the end of it.
Also, if future interviews with Smthyson, I suggest you speak up, as the raw power of American motors has given him significant hearing loss and a bad case of tinnitus.
Ender: Surprising that he cannot communicate any longer.
Nos: Enderplease.
Thank you everyone.

Hi guys In the coming days we are hoping to be able to clarify the rules around pitting under the safety car, which may be reintroduced in this season. By way of background; pitting under SC was abandoned in Season 3 over mass confusion in rejoining the pack. The position should be simple - as you exit the pits, you match the speed of the pack merge into the traffic. You don't push down the line to get a better position nor do you rejoin where you left. If you come out of the pits and slip back from 3/28 to 4/28 by the time you rejoin, then you're in 4th. How we implement that will be the topic of discussion for the strategy group in the coming days. We have to find a way that's fair and doesn't encourage drivers to put themselves before the race and try to make up a place or two under SC. And, while you're here, let's look at the last Progen Pfister car:

Pitting under safety car is another thing i was hoping would come back as long as everyone understands the rules, it's great to hear you're trying to make that work Do you know if formula 1 has written down the rules about that anywhere? There's often pitting under SC there but i've never seen the commentators explaining it any further

they're a bit more spaced out - I did check their website for an instructional video but the regs? Not yet.
We might do a "how to" video as it will be useful outside SATCC and we have Old_Barn's YouTube channel to upload it.

OK F1 regs don't help because we don't have safety car lines...
39.8 With the exception of the cases listed under a) to h) below, no driver may overtake another car on the track, including the safety car, until he passes the first safety car line for the first time when the safety car is returning to the pits. However, if the safety car is still deployed at the beginning of the last lap, or is deployed during the last lap, Article 39.15 will apply. The exceptions are : a) If a driver is signalled to do so from the safety car. b) Under 39.12 or 39.16 below. c) When entering the pits a driver may pass another car remaining on the track, including the safety car, after he has reached the first safety car line. d) When leaving the pits a driver may overtake, or be overtaken by, another car on the track before he reaches the second safety car line. e) When the safety car is returning to the pits it may be overtaken by cars on the track once it has reached the first safety car line. f) Whilst in the pit entry, pit lane or pit exit a driver may overtake another car which is also in one of these three areas. g) Any car stopping in its designated garage area whilst the safety car is using the pit lane (see 39.11 below) may be overtaken. h) If any car slows with an obvious problem.
So we'll find a way to make the rules fit our situation.

Ah, i see how it is. One thing I've also wanted to clarify about safety car: You're not going to wait everytime until the WHOLE field has come together under safety car before calling it in, right? So if i'm last with 1min 30sec behind front, wasn't involved in the incident that caused the SC, then i can try to catch up to those in front but you're not going to wait until every last driver (me in this case) has caught up, right? I'm not sure if you meant to write "until" instead of "under" in your virtual safety car explanation on OP. Might just be my english anyways.

erm yes, good spot - that's meant to be until.
So under F1 safety cars, the field can unlap themselves and yes, if you're 90s down you catch up.
So in our VSC, the pack will bunch up. And yes, if you're a late pitter, a safety car can be a massive hassle for your strategy.

endersai , is it an idea to set a minimum laptime during a SC for the people that are catching up, like there's in F1? Otherwise it doesn't really give an advantage to pit late and gamble on a SC, because the people behind you will just drive full speed till they reach the back of the pack. For example if the front drives a 20 second slower laptime during the SC, then the people at the back that are trying to catch up have to drive a 5 seconds slower laptime. This might give someone that took the risk of a late pitstop a little extra for taking that risk. It would also add to the realism of the event. I don't exactly know how to implement this, but you have a strategy group for this and I think it's definitely something worth to discuss.
