I will point out My pit under the safety car on Spa Season 2 still remains at the moment the best example of pitting under a safety car.
Video
I will explain when i ask ender if we can pit under the safety car i pull into the pit from 2nd. I go through the pit while the pack keeps catching up the the leaders, then i join when there is a gap to fit my car into and the catch up to the pack my self. This was possible due to the large gaps between cars but if for example the pack was close and i was in first (as stepa was on Cluck'n Bell). I expect those behind me to move to the pit exit as fast as possible, making me lose the lead or I would suggest we go slower/safety car pace in the pits to lose time. What i dont want to see is what actually happened as below. Again thank you to ovivo for having both his and someone elses point of view.
Video
See how the first 5 cars go in to the pit an cloud accelerates to gain positions as he is in control of the pack speed while vixtro keeps steady holding people up and turning what is suppose to be a disadvantage into a net advantage. Because of this gap between net 1st & 2nd the people who pitted can just slot back into the leading car (Cloud, though due to the confustion Cloud gives his position back to Stepa which was the wrong thing to do).

OK so I have a super secret cast of talented actors and drivers to film the definitive NoDo "pitting under the safety car" instructional video. We should have that released after the pre-season testing is done, but before race one. Some more updates, which I'll edit into the OP: Dropped scoresThis season, the extended calendar can work against some drivers if they are away, sick, or otherwise unable to attend. Therefore, each driver will be issued two white cards during the race weekend. Those cards can be surrendered to me to cancel a score from the race just passed. You can play both cards, obviously. The cards cannot be played for a race earlier in the season than the one that has just finished. They can be played for the next weekend if the player knows they will be away. For example, I want to drop my score from races 3, which was on weekend 2. I must play the card before race 5 starts (on weekend 3) for it to count. After races 5 and 6, I can no longer play the card for races 1, 2, 3 or 4. This means if you miss a weekend, you have plenty of time to drop the 0 0 from your title. The rest becomes a gamble or a bet. You may drop 6 pts from a high scoring run only to score two 1pt finishes. Too bad you dropped that 6pts, and no you can't have it back. It will help to keep the title open for front runners who miss a weekend through any number of no-fault reasons; and it will require people to plan strategically and gamble tactically. Pre-season testing and carsJust to be clear; you are racing your cars as per the ones listed in the opening post of this thread. The two tests allow for different setups to be trialled, i.e. different wings, different wheels, etc. It is not like the Young Driver's Test where you can chose two cars. InterviewsI will post shortly another Cloud Sports interview with some of our quickest drivers and I think it's probably the best set of answers I've seen yet. Everyone will get a chance to speak to Allen James before the first race, don't worry. Official anthemAs it stands now, SATCC Season 4 has 4 Australians and 5 Britons, meaning 9 people fall under broadly the same flag. Accordingly, the official anthem of the SATCC will remain God Save The Queen. Apologies to the French proxy mercenaries Americans who thought they'd abolished such sentiment centuries ago. There's no loss of honour here. No need to armour yourselves against the change. No need for theatre either, for excessive labour.

Allen James here from Cloud Sports with the second round of pre-season interviews.
With me today I have, in the back row: Grimreaper977 from Invetero Augury Racing; StoryVS from Sprunk Racing, and Superstepa from Pro Laps Racing.
Front row I have: Oh_Darn from Merryweather Racing; OvivoJR from Pfister Racing, and fab.ICEMAN from Progen Racing.
First question is for Grim; on paper, you and cloudmcshort are a formidable team with an excellent chance for taking the Constructor's title. How do you feel about your prospects?
Grim: I feel pretty good, we have a strong car and great team chemistry, I know for sure that it will be down to taking each week as they come and getting the most top 12s as we can. I don't think it will be easy though, with a few teams like Merryweather, Pfister, Bravado, etc. all having drivers that can score points consistantly we will see, i think it will be closer than last year
You've been sponsored by Augury for some time - what caused you to partner with Invetero, and is the car performing as expected?
Grim: Yes they have been very beneficial to me as a driver, and helping me get started on my own racing team. The reason was cloud sent me an voice message asking to have a talk about Season 4, He initially suggested the Coquette as he had been offered a factory drive with them and wanted me to help them realize a full comeback in SATCC. But Invetero had some financial troubles which caused us to look at other possible factory teams, when Augury decided they wanted to help fund the factory team, being eager to continue racing but sadly not finding drivers with Doom moving to Arcadius and my self looking for a factory drive this season. Thus Invetero-Augury was born.
Now, onto Story. Sprunk's third season in SATCC, second with you as its driver. You've already achieved a race win; what is the goal for this season?
Story: I'm expecting so many good battles, I'll do my best to be on the podium for every races. I can only hope for that.
The FIA revised the BOP for the Surano for this season, to equalise it with the other cars in SATCC. You were quite vocal about this change at the time. Do you find the Surano a fundamentally different car now?
Story: Yes the car is pretty different now. Not tot drive, but the lower top speep is a consequent problem. It does ruin my hopes of finishing champion this year, most of the SATCC tracks have a long straight line, and the surano is loosing too many times on it. I'll try to find the movitation and do my best.
Stepa, third season with Pro-Laps and back in the Banshee. You've won a few races - when is it your time to take the driver's title?
Stepa: Hopefully this will be the season where I can finally secure that championship. The banshee is a great car and I've had great luck with it in the past, so it should be interesting for sure. I have also implemented some tactics in a few races that have allowed me to be more consistent so we'll see how that goes.
You almost didn't get a seat for Season 4 and now you're back with the Banshee. What is your biggest challenge for the season?
Stepa: I'm really glad that the event host stepped up and gave me the last available spot in the championship, big thanks to him. As for my biggest challange this season, I think it's going to be finishing ahead of Smithy. We are driving the same car so I definitely don't want to do any worse than him.
Oh_Darn, onto you. You recently were released from your 3 season contract with Progen so Iceman could join the team and you could help Merryweather branch into racing. Does it feel like you made the right move?
Oh_Darn: I was raedy for something new. I got approached by Merryweather after showing consistenly good results across multiple championships to lead their racing team. Merryweather is on its way to get its first championship victory in the Le Mans World Championship with LMP1 driver xShedim and LMGT driver Grodo. However, they couldnt handle the pressure and packed their bags. It is up to me and my current Touring Car team mate Bezerka to secure the team championship, if the reserve role gets approved. I am also still in the running for the LMP2 drivers championship. So far the team has provided me with very good and fast cars with a weakness on fast flowing bumpy tracks. We are currently very busy with pre-season testing, trying to perfect our setups on the nearest races.
In Progen, I always had a good tactician next to me in the name of Endersai. I was pretty much the muscle who had to perform and help setting up the cars. That's something I will miss, but i'm up for the responsibility of being the team leader.
You're the first team to enter Benefactor's V12 Schafter. Conventional wisdom would note its torque and understeer as causes for concern - how does the car feel to you?
Oh_Darn: Understeer? Did you even drive this car, mate?
Erm... Darn: With the tuned down engine the car gets a lot better to handle. In regards of understeer, I'd rather say this car likes to snap in to oversteer when you're not careful. Currently we have a good base setup for the two main category tracks: fast and technical. We will keep on finetuning the cars for all the tracks to get everything out of this beast. So far, I don't regret the choice of vehicle.
Ovivo - in season 2 you labelled the car a Curb Boosting Piece of Cake, creating a cake-based meme for the Comet. In Season 4, you are the factory driver for the Pfister team. Have you changed your mind on the car?
Ovivo: Once you taste the cake you never go back! We tested the car, liked it and now I want to bring back onto the top position of SATCC. Also after fab.ICEMAN returning and selling all his shares on Tequi-la-la to buy himself into the Progen team we had to find a new car. The Comet was just the logical solution. It is a new challenge and Jackson and myself want to form a new strong team for Pfister.
Some strong competition at the front of the grid; but you've almost always finished on the podium. Are you concerned about whether you can still deliver results this season?
Ovivo: No worries. As long as Atomic has figured out their tires this season we will be podium candidates.
This is a question for you and Oh_Darn both - Season 1 and Season 2 champions respectively. None of you successfully defended your title - do you believe you can win the driver's this year or are you going to settle for a second place result?
Ovivo: Once you settle for a second place result your not a true racer anymore. We all want to have fun but in the end results count. Nobody remembers who got second in the last 2 seasons. ALso my contract with Pfister gives me bonus payments for every win. So I definetely want to see some of that money.
Darn: I'm always looking to win. Period. For this season however, I think we're the underdog given we drive a car no-one has ever driven before in this championship. Laptimes aren't as competitive as for example the Comet and Banshee, lets not even start about the all-round OP Surano. My team mate Bezerka is also completely new to PC so he has nothing to lose in that regard either. The pressure is not on us this season.
Finally, to fab.ICEMAN - we've seen Team Boss Dennis Ron, and your team mate, state their belief that you have the pace and maturity to be a driver's champion. Does that put pressure on you to perform this season, or do you feel you are raedy to claim that title?
Iceman: Nobody wins a title because others say so or expect you to win. Winning a championship is hard, very hard work. The starter field is incredible strong, I would say it's even more powerful than the MCEC GT1 field of this year's season. A lot of the pro's are willing to secure the title and believe me, I am too.
You're driving the Pfister Comet this season - is it very different from your season 1 Surano? How are you finding it - would you describe it as "cake" as Ovivo did?
Iceman: Of course it is. It feels like riding a racehorse, amazingly fast in corners and great acceleration, but if you want that 1% more you fall off and you're gone. This is pure excitement. To me this has nothing to do with a cake.
Finally, an open question to everyone - aside from yourselves, who would you pick if you had to pick another driver that you think could or should win the driver's title this year?
Grim: I think Cloud has a great shot at the championship, pre-season testing has proven that he is quick, and with amazing results in the 2nd young drivers test, I think he can do it.
Story: From what I saw in le mans I would say smithy. But we had many surprises in the past, I think everyone has a chance of winning.
Stepa: I think that aside from myself it would be nice to see Ovio win another championship.
Darn: I'm afraid I have to say Smithy
Ovivo: Endersai in the Comet if his engine keeps it together finally. He had bad luck over the last years.
Iceman: If you ask me for the "should win", I'd say Pezby.
Thank you all.

Cloud Sports - technical analysis with Allen James:
Pit stops and the safety carHello everyone; Allen James here at Cloud Sports Central. The FIA met with team principals and SATCC organisers in Liberty City recently, to discuss some amendments to the rules for the fourth season. One of the positions advocated by a number of the teams was to restore the capacity to pit under the Safety Car. The FIA has agreed, and has promised to release guidance soon as to how it is to operate. We at Cloud Sports thought we'd take a look at the practice, and why. What is the purpose of the Safety CarThe safety car exists to ensure any issues, incidents or accidents on track do not disrupt racing or pose risks to the safety of drivers in racing. So, if the first corner of a race sees 3, 4, 5 or more cars come together, the safety car will help reorganise the field and avoid more cars being caught in that collision. When the virtual safety car is called, cars slow down and overtaking is banned. The pack forms up behind the race leader, who controls the pack. Once the danger has passed and the pack is grouped, race control will announce the time At which racing will resume. Once race control announce that time, the speed restriction is lifted and the race leader can speed up or slow down the pack until the event clock reaches the time allocated by race control and overtaking can resume. Good drivers can back the pack up before speeding up without warning, building a solid gap for the restart and protecting their lead. Why pit under the safety car?A pit stop usually brings a driver out roughly 10seconds back from where they went in. When the pack has slowed down, the places lost by a pit stop can be lessened or even removed entirely, depending on the situation - say, a race leader with a 20s gap pits as soon as VSC is called. Let's say Racer X is in P9, with 1 pitstop to go. They pit under Safety Car and emerge in P16. Now, under a normal race they might have only lost 2 places. Therefore, the decision looks a net loss to the driver as they've lost 7 places instead. Except, they have come out into a pack that is bunched together. They may have better race pace than the cars in front. The cars in front may not have stopped. In any event, the driver's now done their 2 stops and can race til the end, and on the restart may gain 2 - 3 positions straight away. From there it's an easy fight back to P9 and beyond. Let's say you're dead last. Pitting under the SC allows you to emerge in the same position but to catch back up to the pack instead of being 20 seconds down the road. They key, then is to understand what the cars around you are doing and to understand what a pit stop under safety cars not only costs you, but what it can do for you. In fact, unless you have already done your stops, there's more reasons to pit under the safety car than there are reasons not to pit. I'm Allen James from Cloud Sports. Goodnight!

So, the announcement trailer for the 7 June update dropped and appears to contain a Ferrari FF style car from Grotti.
This may or at least should be sports class.
Accordingly, I will have it tested thoroughly for pace and ability and we'll advise back on if it is likely to be included in the SATCC roster.

AnnouncementSprunk Team Racing returns to SATCC Season 4 in the Benefactor Surano. Last season's driver serviinutiles has moved on to another racing championship and was replaced by season 2 veteran RapTor_X_ to join returning driver and Sprunk's figurehead StoryVS . Ungoing health campaign's by government and health organizations have limited Sprunk's sales figures over the last month. Regardless of this shortcoming, the fresh lemon soda company believes in the value of sponsoring a racing team to make as many people as possible addicted to their product by ongoing advertisement. Therefor you will continue to see Sprunk's glowing green colored cars in various racing events including this season's highly anticipated SATCC. The team has to deal with limited budget though and was not able to hire a second driver with championship aspirations. Benefactor's decision to put their development focus completely to their new V12 engine has led to several teams staying away from the Surano, a car with a lot of history in the SATCC. Due to limited budget Sprunk is the victim of Benefactor's decision and had no choice but to stick with last season's car. An anonymous engineer said that last year's Surano engine might not be able to compete in power with improved engines of other manufacturers. The new V12 engine of Benefactor might destroy everything this season, but he questioned it's durability and enourmous weight, which will make it difficult to balance the car for good cornering speed. Sprunk's team manager Petta B. Green was quoted: "We might struggle on some long straights this season, but we are still at the top regarding versatility and endurance with our car. We believe in StoryVS 's quality behind the steering wheel. He will definitely compete with the best and get some podiums or even a win. Our new driver RapTor_X_ has a great feel for staying out of trouble and might score some points by staying in front of some drivers who were not that lucky on that day. The team championship is probably out of reach, but let's see what happens."

So today on balance went well. Not for me, but we saw that the Comet, Banshee, Carbo and V12 can compete with one another. I also heard people asking about and waiting for takeouts, which was really heartening to see. (except some scoombags who botched a corner in their banshee and then caused a crash and MDSB'd away...) Race reportThe team only elected to field Endersai today, with Iceman taking a break. "The Comet felt quite strong on the sports tyre, but the tuner tyre was giving a bit too much slippage on the corners which meant we couldn't take that left hander onto the main straight with the confidence - the grip disappeared. First race was mired by usual incidents, collisions that weren't out fault and punished us for being on a charge forward. After the first lap incident with the Bravado team in Race 2 we elected to retire the car - we got a lot of good aero data from race 1 and pushing to catch up to the pack 2 races in a row wasn't giving us any reliable information. I just wish that Bravado had properly owned the incident but ah well, this is racing. Still, I think we've got a competitive package for Season 4 and I can only imagine how Iceman will dominate." - Endersai

I have to say that the two races from yesterday helped me a lot to see where the comet's pace is. And I do unerstand now better what you were talking about last season with the difference in race pace and hotlapping pace of the comet. That's not a complaining more an observation how different the comet is in a battle compared to all other cars I drove so far in the satcc. It's really a challenge in the comet and I'm keen to see/have more battles like I had with The_Bad_Loser and Oh_Darn yesterday. Btw. here are the last seconds from my battlw with Darm. Really intense until the finish line.

Like the safety car rule I agree with it to some extent, since it would be unfair to let the guy who starts on pole win the race on Lap 1 because everyone else got involved in a accident.
But haven't you thought in imposing a limit of laps to the safety car?
Like calling a safety car at the near end of a race because some racers at the back got involved in a accident seems kinda unfair.
My suggestion was like have the Safety car rule active for the first 3 laps, if there is an incident in one of those 3 laps, raise the number of laps the Safety car is active to 5, and if another one happens raise it to 7 and so on.
Just a suggestion, since it promotes better racing in my opinion, calling a safety car 25-30 mins into a race only benefits the people that caused the crash, not the ones that spent the whole race building a gap.
