[PC] Broughcar: The Xero Gas 100 (COMPLETE)

Hey guys, we're still a little ways out from the event start (about 10 days), but there's a few things I need to update you all about:

1. Every person ever that has taken their first laps on this track has crashed out in embarrassing but hilarious fashion on the very first turn. God forbid you go into the race with no practice or else we'll see some massive turn 1 lap 1 crash in the race and endersai will have a good laugh at our inability to drive circles.

2. If you're concerned about track congestion, it may comfort you that a single file line of 24 cars would span about halfway across the track, so it shouldn't be an issue, there should be some good battles throughout the course of the race.

3. I recently updated the straightaway walls to reduce the likelihood of wall-clipping. I can't guarantee it won't happen, but the walls are noticeably smoother so less BS should happen. To prevent Oh_Darn from trying sick MLG wall-riding lines the walls on the turns have been left unchanged. (The new straightaway walls should also reduce the likelihood of safety car deployments resulting from cars ending up off-track.) Any updates made to the track from now until race-day (as with this update) will preserve its character so that practice laps turned on older versions will still be relevant.

4. Some people have a habit of remembering the wrong date/time for events. If you're one of those people, don't worry, you'll get an earload from me about the event as we get closer to the start so you can't miss it. At the time of this post we're about 240 hours to the event start.

5. If you're new to this oval racing stuff, you might've noticed that, despite my efforts to trim it down, there's a large amount of rules. I assure you most of them necessary, however, especially to cover scenarios unlikely in circuit racing which become common in oval racing. (The rules which close the pits upon deployment of the safety car and prevent participants from taking multiple mandatory pits during one safety car period are good examples of this.) They should follow intuitively and make sense on race-day.

6. There were some complaints after the Redwood Cup that it was hard to keep track of who was lapping who, complicating blue flag scenarios. I've updated the rules so that, if possible, race officials (Uncle Eddy ) will assist in issuing the blue flag. Additionally, participants are now liable for a penalty for improperly calling the blue flag.

I'm away till August, so unfortunately can't make it to my "home" circuit (I consider everything Xero home ). You guys have fun racing.

Do I need to worry if I'm already bored to death after doing 10 laps of practice?

Why would you practice? You only have to turn left
