I don't understand this. We can use floating platforms and jumps as much as we want and it counts as a standard race; we use one new starting grid and we can't have a pit lane. I feel like all this update has done is made it more difficult than ever to find tracks suitable for events

What is the "Allow vechicle speed boosts" doing? (pick-up boosts, boost pads, start boosts or curb boosts?) Isn't it for the green "boost" object? just a guess No it's for cars with Kers

That helps me build tracks for events, yes, but not everyone is going to do that and I see no reason why the power to choose shouldn't be given to the host.

So I put down a grey wall (new prop) and a black road. Both turned red as I tested the track. Guess that's how they are now. Can't force them to be something they clearly don't want to be. Seriously, this keeps happening to me. I put down blue tubes, after testing the track, they are red. -.- Anybody else having that problem?

So maybe the option to delete lamp posts was just a hoax. It's not there and even the official guide doesn't say anything about it.

Ok, now I'm legit pissed. I wanted to improve one of my tracks with the new props. So I put a few of them in. Turns out this will transform the track into a stunt race. So you get the annoying checkpoint effects plus you can't set the race to GTA in the lobby. So I decided not to use the new props and I deleted them and put back the old ones. Well, guess what. This doesn't revert the stunt race status. So now my track is forever stuck in a fucking stunt race mode. The only way to take that back is to make it all over again from scratch.

Stop overreacting that not everything is like you expected!
Something not working like it used to? We'll find a way to use the new stuff, we'll make it work for us.
There are a lot of creative people in the crew, don't let the small negatives get in the way of the potential of the new content we can make.
We didn't got a feature you were hyped for? We were able to play without it, we'll be able to play without it in the future as well.

The thing is, they didn't take the opportunity to revert a change in this update that made using the creator so much easier - the props placing, well, where they were going to be. Precision placement is incredibly annoying now and building bridges without the new track pieces has become a task for masochists. Seriously, they added content but removed usability. Imagine if Adobe updated Photoshop adding new features but made it so that where you drew didn't line up with the cursor. Don't you think people would be massively annoyed by that? Why is this any different?

Why is this any different? People are using photoshop with a cursor? The old creator wasn't precise enought either, you were able to force it to be precise with locking your framerate to something ridiculous (Which didn't work on console btw). Make something horizontal was a pain in the ass without locking your fps to 15. And as I just said, we'll figure out a new way, if the old ways doesn't work anymore, and the new is shit, we always do.

You could vertically line a prop and place it. Now it just bumps up and this forces you to use the advanced options which are great and precise but consume a much bigger amount of time. Sure we'll find new ways of doing things but that doesn't mean that we can't bitch about the update. It looks great at first glance but in reality it's actually quite shitty. The thing that we'll find a new way doesn't mean I have to keep my mouth shut.

Just out of curiosity, have you actually tried to build anything in the new creator, Benimi? I mean actually build something, not just slap a bunch of props down to see how it works.

I am loving this creator, it is amazing, it is just like using the mod menu again, the precision I can move stuff about in is great. It is a shame about the stunt race thing, but i make most of my tracks either to be played standard or GTA mod, rarely do i intend both to be used.
