A few words about the race. Firstly, thanks for hosting Kaleeb42 , the event was rly funny. I think everything went good for my side, didn't crash any time and I managed to race with a lot of consistency. Good race for Divait aswell although he had some problems, congratz for the great performance. Thanks akaJayJohn for racing for my team, u did really good. Now, is that lap time humanly possible @zenvohh? jk, that was brilliant. Too bad RapTor_X_ disconnected, u were in a good pace. Well thank you all for this, see u next time Peace Just one of them laps where pretty much everything was perfected, but I reckon there's still room for improvement on that lap. Doesn't really matter anyways you where a lot more consistent than I was and that's the reason you won GT2 by 50 seconds, GG

Great event. It was my first race for weeks and I didn't expected it to be such intense. Had some good battles, nice overtakes and a good experience in general. Also it was interesting because the Gt1 and 2 cars were at the same pace but had totally different strenghs on different parts of the track.
Here is the footage of my race. Unfortunately there were an issue while recording that caused about 11 minutes of my race beeing not recorded (at 32:58 video time, the race time from 37:38 - 48:50 are missing).

My POV

Watching the POV of you guys makes me realise how lucky I was to be able to start at pole. I think I was 1st for about 15 laps untill people with better pace started catching up to me . I barely had to fight anyone for the entire race, Although Divait was on my ass quite a lot of the time And since I pitted late both times at lap 25 and 40, I think I have been first for more than half of the race, even though I finished 5th. I love multi class races. We need more events like these!

Now I can see from your footage why there was quite the gap behind me in 1st after the first corners. I love seeing these POV footage from others. I should've recorded my entire race as well. I will do that next time! maybe we can make an event montage with the combined footage of everybody who recorded the entire race!
That sounds like a great idea if I say so myself. Seeing the start from multiple perspectives is what I love doing with onboard camera footage in F1.

Bless the person who's willing to spend time making a montage of every POV of the event..... =P Sounds like a shit ton of work. Also, shouldn't this thread be moved to the Completed Events board?

Taking the time to edit a video can be tiring sometimes. But when a video gets as much attention and love as I did with my previous video, it's all worth it. I don't mind making event montages if people can send me their POV footage. Wether they let me download the source footage or let me download it from youtube, I don't mind personally. If the event has a pitwatcher, they can record the start from a nice top down angle just like in F1!! BUT,then I would need everybody who sends an hour long video of a race to hightlight points of interests for me. Because I don't want to watch 3 hours of the same lap over and over just to find 5 interesting bits. If something special happens, like a crash or a sick battle. make sure you have a way of remembering on which lap it was.
I think everybody can understand this and that I dont have to explain myself Tell me what you guys think.
Also yes, this thread should move to the completed events board.
But the commisioners are lazy scumbags! I didn't mean that sorry.

DxTory, Shadowplay, Fraps, Twitch VOD, Bandicam (is that one even relevant anymore???), OBS, etc.... Pick your poison =P I used to use Shadowplay because DxTory makes GTA Crash on my system. But since I started streaming everything I just download my Twitch VOD if I want to make a highlight video or something.

I'll try get some clips for you if I can What do people use to record again? I use NVIDIA shadowplay. It's the best recording software I have ever used. It has EVERYTHING that I want, the quality is amazing, the recording file size is incredibly small, it's easy to use, and last but not least, It has shadowrecording. ( this means that it always records, and it saves the last 1-20 minutes when you press a button). I use shadowplay from the Geforce experience v2. The new v3 is god-awful. You need an Nvidia GPU of atleast gtx600/700 series (not sure). A good alternative is OBS, but recording with OBS will result in a significant performance decrease in game. It was also really difficult to understand for me personally. If you have an AMD card you can try out their recording software but idk how good that is. then there is also fraps, but let's not talk about fraps. lastly, you can record with the GTA recording tool, and then record that with anything else because performance wont be an issue then.

If you need to download Twitch VOD, this tool is so much faster than any other way I've found to download them. Twitch Leecher

A little late, as I was in the race But thanks Kebab for the event. Was my first big event and my first endurance race and it was a lot of fun being part of it and seeing how the race developed. Sorry to my teammates for the at best mediocre finish but I had too many self-made issues. I got stuck in the first incident and was coming from the back. Then I damaged my front suspension twice and the Rapid GT tried to kill me for that ... jumping in the final chicane ... At the end I was catching up to JayJohn but could just not make it. I think I was fast enough for competing for 3rd but with all the mistakes ...
