No I wouldnt because if I was neutral on the discussion I would stay out of it. @moostered was calling for it to end as was @driftin because imo some people were embarrassing themselves.

Yeah man, posting a internet meme that states an observation is insulting someone.... Please stop embarrassing yourself. Oh and btw I was replying to someone who quoted me. Not "attacking".

I was talking about earlier in the thread... And the dozens of other times you've randomly attacked people Pot. Kettle. Would you care to list some examples? It seems to me that you're the only person who has a problem with me.You attacked me out of nowhere for saying I dont mind what people think or do about kerb boosting as long as they don't start insulting others because they like it/don't like it.And you seemed to have a problem with me a few days ago when you attacked me in a different thread for saying people needed to be a bit more respectful towards others opinions.

For those who hate curb boosting here is a track you may enjoy. I made it and eliminated a vast majority of all curbs on cutting coroner's. Dare I say I eliminated 90 or so percent of the curb boosts. If you have a 360 and GTA V still, play this track and see if you like it. This is the level I have seen of blocking curbs and I will be honest this track is shit. However if you are more fortunate than I and have a next gen console or are just as fortunate as me and still own a PS3. Look at the prop placement, just admire how curbless it is. rsg.ms/4fff986

@moostered sorry my wording was off yet again, my bad. Didnt mean to write YOU can make these events. Basically nobody has a right to tell me not to use offroads that i helped discover or use kerb boosts that i've good good at. If they wish to not give me any points for the event then so be it. ( Worth noting i also won both North Loop endurance races so it's not like i depend on the boosts to be fast).
The point that people seem to miss is that it isn't just the sidewalks that cause this, EVERY bump in the road causes a boost due to the suspension mechanic. Now if its logical that hitting a bump makes you faster you will take certain lines to hit said bump. (after LSGP first corner is a prime example). I did mention this is my opening rant so if everybody who commented on this had read and understood this this wouldn't have gone on so long. But i digress, if you are already taking lines to hit said bump then i really see it as a grey area to be so hostile towards people who actively search for the boosts.
HUGELY IMPORTANT: If your searching for a boost breaks the rules of racing, i.e weaving, it should not be done. This is the single most important thing about it. Shaggy is now saying that its only the 4 wheel pavement surfing that he does not like, which is fair enough really. But bear this in mind. IF the boost was not a factor at all I would still be using some of those lines as they are an optimal line through the corner as well as providing said boost. You will not often see me going out of my way to hit a boost,( a few exceptions obviously where missing the boost leaves you at a MASSIVE disadvantage and open to a pass, CCGP being one under the bridge).
We are the best drivers in GTA, now we should be able to trust the judgement of our peers to know when a line is safe or if its going to cause pole fuckery. Let me remind you that just before the tunnel crossover in LSGP is one of the most hit poles in the game. UNTOLD times I have hit this pole or been affected by this pole being hit. This has never to my knowledge been raised as a point to broughy? Yet if i make a track in that area I will always eliminate that pole. It's about risk/reward.
Now this thread was posted with the notion not to be argued about. This was simply my feeling on the subject for NoDo's new and old to read and make their own decisions about. I believe i had the right to make this thread from being one of the fastest drivers in the crew and also being very well connected with most of the more experienced members, at least on the 360 side. I have argued on this thread but it stops now people. This was supposed to be insightful not a blind typing rage.
The reason we play around with wheel types, suspension settings and other upgrades and cars is to give the rest of NoDo the advantage over everybody else. As much as we love racing with fellow crew mates beating other racing crews is VERY satisfying, be it RACE on the Xbox side or Sweat Buckets for the PSN guys. Trowa mentioned this not so long ago but what incentive are you giving us to discover these new things and bring them to the table for you all to use? We have been ridiculed, insulted and disbelieved over SO many things to date that we are wondering why we bother? If we had kept the off-road tyres thing to ourselves we would still be destroying everybody and no-one would know why. ( This isn't to brag but before offroads were a popular thing playlist wins would be slight, due to the advantage). We were told for close to 6 months such things as " it's all in your head " "its a placebo" "changing the radio station works more" .
So in future we should keep our secrets to ourselves and create a elitist part of nodo? No, this is expressly what Broughy does not want. These insights are supposed to be helpful so please treat them so. No more arguing over morals and realism.
Thankyou to those who read through this absolute ESSAY <3

This thread has gone way off topic. Making a generalization about religions was a mistake. There is also a difference on style of tracks that people like. To me, it's obvious that those that enjoy the boosting effect prefer high speed tracks with high speed corners. Using barriers to block certain lines isn't always about stopping boosting, sometimes it's to create a lower speed corner than usual. IE, some barriers are there simply to prevent someone cutting a corner and taking it faster than the creator intended. We all play racing games, so we all know how some games ridiculously slow your car down if you get on the grass. This is purposeful, however illogical it is, merely for the purpose of keeping people from cutting corners and staying on the track as intended. In Forza, if not slowed down, you got a non-clean lap marker if you went off the track. Unless they're hotlapping, no one cares about their in-game lap time for leaderboards if it means the difference between 1st and 2nd.
In fact, this feature of grass in "sim-racing" games breaks the disbelief of realism for me, but it still has many features that crazy man would declare make it not realistic. News flash everyone, these are video games, nothing can compare to real life. Forza doesn't have your suspension break, you don't die if you hit a wall, the visual damage to the cars is laughable compared to GTA. No game is perfect, and no game probably EVER will model realism perfectly.
In end, because my break is almost over, everyone chill out. Everyone has an opinion, everyone is entitled to express it. There is obviously at least two set groups on this topic. As Sean said, this was an advice thread, NOT a debate thread.
And there is serious lack of moderation on these forums anymore.

Im all for creating corners out of barriers btw. Keeps some freshness in roads we have rinsed. Something i do a lot in my tracks . All for blocking off the riskiest poles. Something I also do a lot. Just dont turn it into the fkn monaco gp.
