thanks for the event was fun despite french people being french and not showing up. One thing i gotta say though, I think i might refrain from joining nascar races in the future because the safetycar rules are just too confusing to me and since i don't use a mic, i can't ask for clarification in the race and theres no time to type either. Couldn't call out blue flags either and people didn't react to my horn which almost cost me my 4th place. Also there's just so many people talking whenever something happens and it makes it hard to understand stuff. It's just all too confusing to me personally

Sorry about the shitstorm that happened. PM me if you want any results investigated otherwise I will post event results following the conclusion of SAGTC. Unofficially redlaserbm, Grumples_Plox (grimreaper977), @zenvohh are your first second and third place finishers and Team Princess Minty Bubblegum takes the team title

I have to thank you all multiple times. First, thanks to redlaserbm for organizing a great and (atleast for me, first oval) unique event! Thank you to everyone who was racing, it was a pleasure to battle, especially with positivetension and jeffreyb1990. Thank you to everyone in the race lobby, for restarting a scheduled event!!!!! I am an idiot who forgot to put a tracker & insurance on a car he found on the street. Especially this has blown me away! Thanks to everyone who searched for a new Ruiner! Thanks to .fiyah for giving me the one he found. (he was just near me when I joined his session) This has been a great event. I am suprised that I got 9th, seeing as I had no practice at all and never drove the Ruiner. I was guessing a setup based on the track which I drove once in the Daily Playlist, on a RE-7B. I think it worked out quite well. I'm hoping to be able to align future Broughcar Events into my calendar, this was really cool!

It's just all too confusing to me personally The safety car rules are meant to be a natural response to what would otherwise be a very broken set of rules. The safety car will go around the track multiple times before it is pulled in under any safety car period, it would be a huge exploit to be able to take many pits under safety car as a consequence, thus the ban on multiple mandatory pits under safety car. Restarts would be messy if the leader wasn't first in line. Here's a real life example: But yeah, we have a whole problem staying silent until exactly the moment I need to be speaking, at which point they go absolutely bonkers, to make sure people don't try anything stupid under safety car. EDIT: I'm gonna see what I can do to try and uncomplicate things for next time but again I find these rules a natural consequence of what would otherwise be something very messy

Unofficially redlaserbm , Grumples_Plox (grimreaper977) , @zenvohh are your first second and third place finishers and Team Princess Minty Bubblegum takes the team title GG Gamerer, again ruined by safety cars, and my lack of actual strategy. but it was a fun race at the end, but the lack of self control at the end there ruined my concentration ability to race consistantly. and apologies to @zenvohh for the last laps my head was no where near in it.

The thing about not being allowed to pit multiple times under SC was common sense to me anyways. My problem was mostly knowing where to be when it was called out and it seemed like a lot of people were confused because it's hard to have an overview on the whole field.. people tell me to pass, others seem to randomly shoot past me, some people said move up to your actual position (which i never did, i stayed where i was even if i was overall far ahead of those in front of me).. idk, its just such a mess to know who lapped you, who you lapped and stuff at least to me. too much stuff to think about which makes it even harder to strategize with pits. and that was with only like 15ish drivers i guess a track with longer straights would help in a way that itd spread out the field more but other than that i can't think of much to make it more simple, you're already doing a great job gamerer

We can always forget about the safety car rule and make it a demo derby race... That would be fun

Nobody requested an investigation of the post-race results, so I assume everyone is okay with the results being declared official. In this case: EVENT RESULTS Congratulations to me, Grumples_Plox (grimreaper977) , and @zenvohh for placing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd respectively, and congratulations to grim, zenvohh and lewjen (smithyonetwelve) for winning the team championship! Full results are available hereRace stats: # of cars on the lead lap: 3 Margin of victory: 2.073 seconds # of safety cars: I don't know you guys crash too much, maybe it was 5 Fastest lap: GalantEvo (A really fucking fast time) I am thrilled you all had a lot of fun during this event, it always really fun bringing oval racing to the crew, this was a great opportunity to be exposed to a wholly different racing environment than what you're used to. Excepting the confusion and controversy that occurred with the first safety car everything went cleanly this time around. There seemed to be some confusion with the rules, I'm gonna see what I can do on my end to clear them up, but please read the OP more carefully next time and ask some questions if you're confused. Again the rules are designed to counter absurd scenarios that would otherwise occur without them, if you are wondering why a particular rule is in place, consider a scenario where it was not in place and you'll understand why the rule is there. I'm unsure when to host the next one of these, the thread is already up for it but there's a poll up, vote in it, that'll decide when I host this thing. PM me track and car ideas if you have any, I'll consider it for December's event. Here's a thread on creating oval tracks if you need help with that. Safety Car: key Pit Watcher: .fiyah Race Official: Redwood Racing (Classic Ice White, Classic Red, Fluorescent Blue): 1. redlaserbm 2. Prutoog 3. Divait Team Princess Minty Bubblegum (Matte Black with Hot Pink Pearlescent, Crew Minty Fresh, Hot Pink): 1. Grumples_Plox (grimreaper977) 2. @zenvohh 3. lewjen (smithyonetwelve) JackSheepe Racing (Classic Bright Green, Classic Race Yellow, Race Yellow) 1. GalantEvo 2. Countach 3. mountainged (R) Flash FM Motorsports (Classic Hot Pink, Classic Ultra Blue, Yellow) 1. positivetension 2. tonysoprano1985 3. pindadoper Buckingham Racing (Brushed Gold, Matte Dark Red, Black) 1. jeffreyb1990 2. 3. The thing about not being allowed to pit multiple times under SC was common sense to me anyways. To try and make the rules easy to follow for this series I figured just leaving the field scrambled instead of trying to unscramble it would be best; it can lead to odd scenarios such where the 2nd place car could actually restart at the end of the line, but this way I don't have to worry about moving people around. ..But late in the race when it comes down to a race between the front-runners it should be just the front-runners duking it out for the win. Hence the rule which places lead lap cars at the front of the field for restarts after blue flag deployments begin. Again to try and make it so I don't have to move too many people around this rule is limited to just the front runners--I suspect the confusion in your case regarding where to restart stemmed from the fact the three cars ahead of you in place were permitted to restart at the front, but you were not. As silly as it sounds if I were to do this, I feel a quick flow chart of sorts on when you can and can't pass under a safety car would sort out confusion for future events. Even months after the first event this has proven to be a huge learning experience every time as far as trying to host this without something going wrong, that's a probably a consequence of lack of exposure of the crew to oval racing in general though.

The lack of experience didn't help in those situations. My experience with oval racing consisted of some Indy 500 (only oval race that's fully broadcasted in the Netherlands) the last few years and a docu about Arie Luyendyk. If you compare that to F1, which I follow for 20 years or something, I don't know shit about oval racing. Btw I managed to get the platinum 'no claim bonus' achievement during the race

Well i was confused pretty much on every SC but that was one of them, yeah. I just thought the top 3 are right there ahead of me and i cant battle with them because there's 2 lapped cars in front of me. Didn't realize that i was 1 round down at the time. Also i had 1 or 2 guys who i battled with behind me and lost my 4th because of the lapped cars in front of me (which i fortunatelly was able to get back in a last corner move ). I should probably add a "blue flag" to my soundboard.
