I tried your setup. It was quite good in the snow. Probably gonna go with that.

I don't think I've ever decided drivetrain or engine though (apologize if I mistakenly mentioned that). I think it's a matter of how we want the race go. It could be stock tire + RWD + shit tons of power = intractable, or stock tire + AWD + fair amount of power = sane but fun race. I feel like John's setup works quite well for this event.

Just to clarify, by restricting engine swaps I mean everyone should use the same engine, but not necessarily stock.

Honestly I think a challenge like getting a car through blizzard mountain should be handled without restrictions, call it build battles if you like, but I think it would be interesting to see what people can come up with, cram into c class and what they can achieve.

Hmm... That's one way of how an event can go, but I mean you can totally go to a random lobby, as random races are pretty much build battles, except that there might be some rammers. Having people gathered up with a specific theme is more like battling on skills instead of build. We all know how ridiculous my 360 was last time, and I don't think that was entirely because of my skills. Not everyone is good at tuning (and I'm not very good at it either), so not having any restriction might end up in too much performance difference and pure boredom.

Edit: I'm not against your idea though. We can do some events focused on using different builds in the future.
