Sorry key and endersai but im dropping out off the event. Im mainly dropping out because i dont really enjoy the races and havent been able to find the motivation to practice for this event the last 3 weeks. I want to wish all the participants left in the event good luck for the remaining off the season.  NOOO, you were my only hope in helping me beat stepa, but I understand. |

You guys are taking this way too seriously. Is winning all you care about so much that if you don't have the time to practice you think it's worthless? I haven't practiced for this tournament for the whole season, in fact only finding out which race it is when we load the lobby. Of course it shows in my results, but I still have fun in the race itself. There's so many people you can race throughout the pack, it's been good for me so far. Im not leaving because i dont win lol. Im leaving because i dont enjoy the event and want to have more time for cotm and tepcott since Im enjoying those events really much. And i do have time to practice but i see no point in practicing for an event that i dont enjoy. So stop being salty about me and zenvoh leaving. It's not just the two of you, but it's a prevalent thing I've noticed across events recently. People whinging about God knows what without being honest and grown up about it. When one applies to join an event, it's incredibly insulting and belittling to the host and other racers to say "I quit because it's boring". Grow up and take some responsibility. A similar thing happened in MCEC. There were about 30 people that couldn't race in MCEC because other more "active" users were picked ahead of us. Since then I've seen countless people drop out, places that could have been filled by maturer members of the community that know how to show respect. Oh and regarding "salty", this goes for everyone that uses the Internet and doesn't know a synonym for "grumpy /assy/miserable/pissed off", can you go to thesaurus.com and learn how it works. The lack of vocabulary is shocking. It's not a go to word to try to win an argument. Normally if someone is pissed of with you it's because you've been a dick, not because they're "touchy/emotional" |

I mean I am 16 after all Kappa Age is a number, if you don't know how to be respectful by that age then you also need to grow up. Kappa can be put in the same bucket as salty and thrown on a bonfire. Along with bae, the incorrect use of the literally and all mother related jokes. |

Some people have reasons which they can't even control. There has to be respect given to the host and other racers, but the person himself also deserves some. When the only reason given is 'its boring' I can semi understand, but most people have valid reasons and it can be painful for them if they try to continue. With MCEC it can be frustrating as some people can just take your spot, but most people on PC atleast always had the intention on finishing it, but sometimes they just unexpectedly realize they can't. Anyway I don't want to clutter this thread too much as I'm not even a participant. |

I appreciate the support Tsupernami, and the honesty from people like esquz too. The sad thing is - after weeks of behind the scenes talking about it, I have to step away. I've got a baby coming in November, which means weekends are all about renovating the nursery and stuff like that. I am at work, the other half is on maternity leave, so I only can do this at weekends. The event is always Saturday morning for me anyway. I've loved SAGTC in NoDo; I will miss it but FriendlyBaron has agreed to step in as safety car driver. I'll still be in the thread; I just can't make races. Much love to you all, and hopefully I'll see you for what will effectively be Season 8 - albeit in PCARS 2. Xoxo Ndrpls |

That and the misuse of the word irony. We all know it means something has lots of iron in it. But back on the actual topic, pulling out of races due to time constraints and uncontrollable factors is completely acceptable. At no point did I say it wasn't. My issue is with lack of respect to hosts when people pull out because they're "bored". It's insulting and I'm not going to pussyfoot around because feelings might get hurt. Pull a dick move, be called a dick. That's part of growing up, accepting some responsibility for your actions. endersai, congrats on the kid. The next few weeks will be stressful and tiring. Make sure your partner gives you anything you crave and lets you have the whole bed to yourself. |

Seeing my comment the next day, I'm not quite sure what I was trying to say. I guess it just depends what is causing the 'boredom' and how you express and phrase yourself. If its boring just because you have a random mood swing and don't care then its quite dickish yes. Bored because of track choices and cars is also silly, because the person already knew what he was getting into. I understand your internet words hate, because people love misusing them, Kappa is quite useful though. I used it to show that my comment was not serious at all, I didn't expect the first response you gave me at all lel. Then again I've seen some horrible uses of Kappa before aswell. I guess we can just use /s instead. endersai if you make SAGTC/SATCC in project cars 2 you're a god oh and congrats and best of luck with the kid, kloden has another person to relate to lul. |

I have ran into an obstacle - during switch to a new PC, I made a back-up copy of all GTA files so as not to have to download them again with my transfer-limited internet. However, after launcher downloads 65MBs worth of patch, it hangs and doesn't respond anymore. If I can't fix it in a reasonable period of time (and I have no idea how to), I'll be forced to miss the upcoming races.
