Thought I'd start a thread about some of the crazy people you run into doing heists with randoms.
I've seen some shit.
The other night, we had to finish the Convoy by pushing an inactive player into the meeting point with our cars & then finishing the job without him before he died too many times to ruin the mission.
While doing Weeds, we had a truck driver that refused to drive anywhere except the gps route. Wouldn't follow the rebel or the other van no matter what we did. Wouldn't follow us off road or try to take shortcuts. Kept running into the other van & damaging both. Three of us kept making it to the warehouse, but he would either die or just not get there in time. Even when we tried to stay with him, he would still die, because he would run into the Rebel & knock the gunner out, or he would fall behind or race ahead & get shot. Maybe he was trolling us but he didn't have a mic, so it was hard to tell.
We definitely had a troll when we tried to do Convoy & some kid kept getting in his car & running us down while we were trying to shoot down the helicopter. We had to bail & kick him.

I was once on a HLR setup: Deliver EMP. We were three decent guys + one really bad player. After failing a couple of times he went AFK. We made the mission and we had to push him away from Humane Labs which didn't work. We failed again, and again and again. Then on the fourth try he went online and we made the mission. One hour wasted. GG. Second story is the Prison Break Heist. There was a guy lvl 13. That guy had one job, one job fly a goddamn plane. I was as a demolition and he kept landing on SS Airfield and dying. -_- Intelligence lvl -3. After 100 Restarts i quit along with a really angry crew leader that just yelled in his microphone. Ear rape. Check. Waste of time. Check. Connection problems. Check. Lobby full. Check. Timed out locating session. Check. Heist completed? Nope. -_- Randoms, those randoms... why  And finally Cloud Simulator. Check. Heists in a nustshell. Atleast for me. :/ |

I've had two similar ones on the prison break.
Both times I was the demolition guy and watched this unfold from my chopper.
First horror story: similar to the above, completed all the hard parts and I'm hovering in the buzzard waiting for my crew to parachute gently down to the beach but this one guy just drops like a stone, doesn't open his chute and smashes into the water, heist failed. The thing is, he stayed in for the restart so it obviously wasn't a DC or a troll.
Second horror stor, a different time playing Prison Break finale with a different crew. The guy who ruined this one needs to go in the moron hall of fame. This time it's on normal and we still have both lifes as my team parachute nicely to the beach, I bring the buzzard in for a gentle landing and this idiot JUMPS INTO MY ROTORS. Still, we have a left, no big deal. Except this guy goes full retard as he spawns on top off the cliff beside the beach then JUMPS OFF AND SUICIDES to fail the heist when not 30 seconds earlier we were literally seconds from a flawless victory. I mean, sometimes you just have to curse the fact you can't reach into your TV and punch someone repeatedly until you've knocked all of the idiocy out of them.

I was in the ground team of the humane labs raid, and one guy, the gunner, kept jumping out of the helicopter with us, so we were three on the ground and one guy helplessly in the air. Of course we failed again and again. Leader left, invited a new crew, i was in it again, and two new randoms. First try: again three guys on the ground! Same shit, different crew! In the next try, we were two guys on the ground: me as one half of the ground team, and the gunner! The other ground team guy stayed in the heli, so we weren't able to trigger the next objective. Chopper guy landed in the parking lot, but the gunner won't get in the chopper again, til we finally gave up. One and a half hour with no payout made me quite mad at playing with random crews!

jsolon7, fachuro and I were trying to do the trash truck setup for Series A, and it took our team an hour and a half. The first few tries could be handed off to the random we let stay in and his utter stupidity; the guy would run into a cluster fuck of Vagos and high-speed traffic with nothing but a semi-auto pistol then get rekt by some drug addled gang-banger passing by in the back seat of a Baller. He also ran the collectors over to fail us a few more times, then got assblasted to the point where he started kicking the trashmaster for five minutes because we wouldn't let him drive the truck. In hindsight we shouldn't have even started the setup with him and we eventually replaced him with ΩmegaOzzy. Ozzy, being the ever helpful team player that he is, immediately went AFK and left us three to the task of collecting rubbish. We failed another time or two and when Ozzy got back, we finally progressed past the point where we usually die. The joy didn't last since Fachuro promptly got taken out by an exploding Emperor that was miraculously hurled over a waist high concrete divider and right into his face. It turns out the Emperor was thrown his way by a RON gas pump that was shot to oblivion. We ended up getting all the coke in the truck, but Jesus was that setup a complete drag. Hour and a half with dozens of attempts. Fachuro, I pray that your criminal mastermind challenge with Shaggy, Broughy and Danny goes over smoother.

Or on the Humane Labs raid, the pilot lands the helicopter with it's tail in the water when the inside team has emerged. Or just in the water. Both of this happened with a 'first person' excuse, so it was accepted Horror stories caused by myself: I've killed someone myself on my second go on the Prison Break on the beach with my rotor (classic!). Or jumped out of my car on the most unusual moment and slammed head first into rocks. Or killed myself while destroying the prison bus as air support on Prison Break because I tried swapping to Jerrycan too fast and selected rocket launcher instead...
My first time on Humane Labs I did not know how to equip rebreathers... That was a scary moment and I had lost some health already before I found it... Pfew! |

'Pacific Standard' heist finale: after having died and restarted a couple of times with a group of randoms three of that group including myself have already been in the dinghy while waiting for the fourth player. He is in the air, gently parachuting down to us, we in happy anticipation, and then... he doesn't press L2 and R2 while approaching and smacks full force into the dinghy and dies +_+

I was once playing heists with a guy called something like Broughy1322. He was just so bad and kept dying, on the off chance we did complete the heist he got bronze. Never met such a bad player in my life. |

I almost ruined the pacific standard finale yesterday. I was behind the pack on my bike and cops crashed me. I took their car and continued to drive the escape route. Unfortunately it was full of cop cars, because the rest of the crew was already through, so my car took some serious damage. I managed to reach the cliff with this rekt POS, drove down, just to find it burning and exploding. I was away far enough not to die instantly, but my energy drained quickly due to my character burning. While I was running towards the dinghy, I found an abandoned bike, drove the remaining way and reached the dinghy with just about 30 seconds left. That was a fuckin close finish, and a hard earned $800+k!

Me, Opal, Jsantos and some random n00b
We had spent like. An hour trying to do this in fp and maintain a good payout.
We finally managed to get to the point where we jump of the cliff with a decent amount of money, having switched up our tactics and got into a police car early. When it came to the jump, mid air, me and opal where in the back looking at each other (FP) unaware that J and the n00b had jumped out parachuting..... I remember hearing the sound of a chute opening then BOOM RIP double_s92 + Opalescentfalcon

We were about to finish the pacific heist first time and Tony runs over Broughy as he went to jump off the cliff to parachute into the dinghy xD
