I do have one other issue I'd like to clarify. For pit stops, if there is a queue of cars, you don't have to wait 30 seconds from when you're in the front of the queue, right? Otherwise all cars will leave the pits 30 seconds apart. The 30 seconds begins from the moment you stop in line in the pit exit queue, so that cars that enter the pits at the same time will also leave at roughly the same time. Correct? Edit: Or, are there enough pit boxes, so that everyone stops in their own pit box for 30 seconds, then leaves? That's how I assumed it would work.

It was said that its 30 seconds from when you stopped, so I assume its when you first stopped and not when you stopped at the front. Else that'll be massively unfair to those who entered immediately after someone else. Most tracks the pit is pretty small so its up to the pit watcher (and the driver) to keep track.

Cool, that makes sense. I'll remake F1 Vinewood Grand Prix. Ser Tandur's video here -- www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZeBPwre6t4U -- is pretty comprehensive, so it should make it easy to port it to PS3.

Quick question/suggestionSwitching race time for PS3
The races are currently scheduled for 5pm UTC (except on xbox) which is 10am-1pm (depending where you live) for residents in the western hemisphere. I realize that this community is based in the eastern hemisphere, but is it possible to push the time back to 9pm UTC so, people like myself, don't have to miss their activities during the regular day? 9pm is not late and this allows people for some breathing room to get home and get ready. This would also allow racers in New Zealand and Australia to race at 7am and 9am instead of 2am and 4am. If anyone else on PS3 is interested we could hold it to a vote.

No. 9pm utc is 7am for me. 3pm was chosen by popular vote. I am in Australia, and I think I'm the only one on 360, and it would work a lot better for me to stick to the time we have, since I'm in Trowa's playlist event and stay up to complete that. We can not change it, and it was chosen by the people. P.S. Australia and New Zealand have completely different time zones. I mean Australia and Australia are 3 hours apart so...

This is starting to degenerate into a "Is this a serious, competitive, palm sweating event" or "Is this something for me to get my jollies on." I can't speak for R4C3RJK99 (who seems to be on another hiatus) on how serious he wants this event to be, but I will say this: new ideas on how to run an event are always welcome, because no one can think of everything. But throwing a temper tantrum about it is not the way to go. Constructive criticism is more useful than hot-headed criticism, because there's room for conversation in the former. The latter is a line drawn in the sand more often than not. Each event is someone's attempt to have a racing experience and share it with others. How that experience is flavored is up to the creativity of each event organizer. Before signing up for an event, if it isn't to your taste, then find another one. One doesn't exist? Then create the event yourself, with your rules. The event you're in starts to change its rules in a way that doesn't suit you? No one is stopping you from resigning, and no one will think less of you for doing so.
Personally, the pit format set in the OP is simple and easy to understand. It also works well into the future for each race. Rather than try and determine the laps that we pit on each track, since it would be different, focusing on the constant is the better route. Each race is 60 minutes. The pit windows are 10-15, 30-35, and 40-50 minutes into the race. This is easy to remember, and works for everyone, regardless of what lap they are really on. There is strategy involved, based on your own racing skill. Are you the type of person who starts strong but begins to fade in endurance races? You want to pit late. Are you the type of person who wrecks alot to start, but finishes strong once in the groove? Pit early. There is even in race strategy, because for the longer tracks, the window is big enough that you can pit at the START or END of the lap the window is open for. On BC24, the window would start at the end of Lap 3, start of Lap 4 (pit option 1) and still be open by the end of Lap 4 (pit option 2). Everyone is overthinking it. As for the "compounds" they are meaningless, it is simply a role-playing aspect of the event to explain why we pit, and why we pit at different times.
Race officials is going to be an issue in that we are not going to have enough, if any for some platforms I suspect. For the pressure and responsibilities, it's going to be difficult to find someone to do this job w/o getting some form of compensation. Even Shaggy got compensated, however little, by the views and potential subs he was getting. But if we do have officials, keeping track of the pits is not difficult. You write down everyone who is going to pit early in one column, everyone who is going to pit late in a second column, and the whole field in a third column. When players come in to pit, you check them off the list. Anyone who didn't come in during the window and didn't get a check get's penalized (w/e that is). P.S. We need some of you Playstation members to focus on remaking the tracks. 3 2 are still needed on PS3, 4 on PS4. I am starting to get a bit concerned about the lack of officials for PC, and do not believe the event will go smoothly without at least one or two people to officiate the races. For this reason I am contemplating dropping out of Williams team and instead taking on a role as an official. (Gimme a few days to think about it.) Keeping track of the pits is definitely not difficult, however, and with two people (each keeping track of half of the field perhaps) should be a breeze. Actually--I don't anticipate too many potential mid-race strategy changes but the point still stands--I'd like to see the rule requiring people to abide by pre-announced strategies thrown out because I really don't think mid-race strategy changes will be that hard to officiate.

I haven't seen anyone made a spreadsheet yet, so I started work on one: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1c3s5MmgdnZH7InUY6SKLOxRAnH4BLYPuYwO-PdSw6s8/edit?usp=sharingI also built the pit watcher's sheet. I tested it a bit and I got it to tell the optimal windows to pit based off when the racer enters the pits, so really the pit watcher will only have to enter in the lap a racer entered the pits. I'm not sure what the shortest race is but I tested it with 61 laps and it was still working. As for strategies, the sheet will automatically update when is the optimal window to pit rather you choose early or late, so once the strategy is given there's not really going to be any confusion on what laps you should start entering the pits on. Everything on it is based off average lap times and how many laps there is.

Hey BigGamerer. On PC BlahHead is watching the pits which is the most important thing at the moment. I think we all are fair enough racers to run the race smoothly. If any incident happend during the race that need to be talked about afterwards we can still look at the recordings and decide if there has to be a penalty or not. But if you decide to be an official that would also be much appreciated (still loosing a strong competitor) For the pitstop discussion i think we should all settle and start making the best of the rules that apply at the moment. We will get it to work and BlahHead will support us strongly on PC. Thanks for that BlahHead.

If noone takes up the role to create those 2 races for ps3, I will stand up to do it since I did most of the 1st season's races for ps3. If they are in process please inform.
