So, after I slept for a night I have come to the conclusion that I definitely want to participate in this event. I had a bit of a struggle because the time is very late, but f*** it, I will do it. I would recommend to make a team with The_Bad_Loser, if he will participate too because we are already a team in Grotti F1. In that case our team - FlyUS - would be proud to be a part in this event. |

Sounds like a fun event, so sign me up aswell! I do not currently own any of the proposed cars, but am willing to buy any of them. Is there anybody I could test some of these cars with, before I settle on one? Yep - I'll add you on R*SC. I should be online later tonight my time (it's 7:40am now) and early tomorrow when a lot of NoDo are on. If we're running informal "pre-season testing" we can spawn one in GTA mode for you. I personally own the Surano, Carbonizzare, and Comet. EDIT: Also, might be worth speaking to Sugar_Free_Nos about whether your manager and his team could find a working arrangement for you to drive for Bravado Racing? "This is BBC Correspondent Allen James live in sunny Los Santos, San Andreas in the weeks leading up to the start of the SATCC season.
There's been a flurry of activity in the past few days, as businesses across the state, country and even world look to get involved in this tasty affair.
The obvious news were that German and American carmakers Pfister and Bravado respectively have formed factory racing teams and entered them in the competition. This is important for the health of the sport, as these teams will be feeding performance data back to the factory which in turn will be shared with customer teams who perhaps lack the resources to collate and act on this data.
The factory teams have also signed a number of highly respected drivers in the San Andreas racing scene, with Chili and Sabertoothwolf all being incredibly quick and agile drivers with a number of victories under their belts.
Aside from this, a number of prominent businesses have entered the motorsport ring too. Petroleum company RON Oil, Airline FlyUS, drinks maker Sprunk, and internet services provider Tw@ have all thrown their hats into the ring to compete for that tasty prize. These teams too have signed some renowned drivers into their ranks.

The following circuits, put forward by the organising committee of the SATCC, have been accepted into the event calendar by FIA officials:
1) Grotti F1 Montreal
2) Blaine County North
3) Grotti F1 Cluck'n'Bell
4) Blaine County South
A fourth circuit, to be staged around the long flat roads of Los Santos International Airport, is under construction and will be reviewed by the FIA in time.
The event will start at Friday 10pm GMT. The races will be randomised except for the first, which will be Grotti F1 Montreal. Of the (at this stage) 5 prospective circuits, we will race on 3 for 15 laps each. In between each race will be a brief (3-5min) interlude where I will announce the next circuit and give the team mechanics time to work on the car for the next circuit (i.e. if you want to run different tyres, suspension or wings, you can add them).
I will be running practice sessions on 10 July at 10pm GMT - i.e. start time, but this weekend - for anyone who wants to get some lap time under their belt. Add me on R*SC if you haven't already.

The heavyweights of the class have issued their challenge! Pfister were the first car maker to enter a team for competition. RON Oil then purchased the fledgling in-house Invetero race team and rebranded it as their own. Bravado decided that simply wasn't good enough for an American team, and before you knew it a factory Banshee team was in the mix. Then... Benefactor, who have a long and proud racing tradition, stepped up. Noting that Pfister, RON Oil Invetero and then Bravado had signed powerhouse drivers, they responded with a coup of their own - the German marque signed German driver ovivoJR, who currently sits equal first in the Grotti™ F1 Championship. Pundits are excited. It's first time in a while a series has seen drivers compete against different classes of cars, with some of the best racers PC has to offer! Updates We have 7 teams confirmed, with the Benefactor and Bravado factory teams and Team Tw@ being short a driver. We have 7 drivers signed up who haven't got a team: HiBerg, chickenfiyah, Superstepa, cloudmcshort, terrabyte, dondeef, Akcros If three of these drivers paired up with Mid, NOS and ovivo then there would be space for 2 more teams to be formed from the remainder. It would be a shame if the scuderia Grotti formula red Carbonizzare didn't get a showing...  I will keep signups open for just 2 more drivers so we're racing 20 people. |

Yes, teams may drive the same car - similar to how in Le Mans GTE-AM racing, teams AF Corse and SMP Racing can both race the Ferrari 458 Italia GT2, or Dempsey Racing and Abu Dhabi Racing both race the Porsche 911 RSR. That's why I've been positioning the series as Factory and Customer teams, to account for different liveries etc racing the same car. I will update the entry for TW@ racing to note it's a Carbonizzare - colour scheme TBC. |
