I've been looking at some rallies for awhile no, and I've been wondering, what's faster a stock Bifta or a fully modded Sultan on an even rally surface.
I've tried to test this but I'm not an offroader as it turns out
Is this just blindingly obvious to other people or am I really that bad of an offroad racer?

Not sure, since they arent the same class I dont think many people will have tested this out but I would guess its probably the Bifta. The sultan has great traction but its not really made for an off-road race. If you are asking which is better for free roam it will be the Sultan. AWD> RWD and again the traction of the sultan will probably get you up more hills.

Depends on the type of offroading you are trying. AWD allows the Sultan to excel at steep terrain, but the better clearance and more forgiving suspension of the Bifta makes that one the better vehicle for rocks or bumpy trails. That Bifta also has less of a tendency to roll, a huge advantage if you are catching enough air off of bumps, but the Sultan has a better capacity for freeroam. I say it a toss up for overall performance, but they definitely excel in different areas. I would likely get something that could top both in nearly every area, such as the Dubsta. It has the clearance and durability from the Bifta and the AWD and capacity of the Sultan, plus some sick customization to boot. I have one and would recommend it any day; you can even try mine out if want(though I won't be on until the 17th). If you end up getting either for offroading, do not adjust the suspension. The higher it is the better.

Personally I would choose the Bifta. There is nothing I can add on to the other replies other than the Bifta has the option to put a spoiler on which would help even more.

The Jester makes a better rally car than the Sultan.

The Jester makes a better rally car than the Sultan. I strongly disagree on this one, I once played 1 of my rally races against people in customs sultans and accidently picked a fully modded jester and offroad the sultan smokes the jester.

The Jester makes a better rally car than the Sultan. The Sultan has AWD, higher clearance, and less under steer. It is the better rally car between the two(though the best in the sports category is the Elegy).

I agree about the Elegy, the Jester is faster than the Sultan however. The Adder & Zentorno are both AWD but would have the low clearance problems that you mentioned, I still think they would be faster than the sultan if you avoided very rough terrain. The fastest car I've seen go up Mt. Chiliad was an Adder. Overall, the Bifta, Huntley or the Bodhi would probably be the best cars for rally races.

The Jester is faster on pavement and mild terrain, but if we're talking the rough terrain you see in rally races, then I believe the Sultan is better suited. It can handle bumps and can keep grip on steep terrain much better than the Jester.

Don't forget the dune buggy that thing has such amazing grip offroad which makes it very competitive, when I'm talking about rallying in gta I am talking about the dirt roads, and on those the sultan has bout the same speedas the jester, but the jester has a hard time dealing with bumps and spins out much easier so the sultan is better imo.

Not to bump this old thread but I was eperimenting with some rallies and fooling around, but I was wondering...
I was driving around my fully uped muscle car. so I decided to drive some other muscle cars offroad and several put their high torque to some good use, which made them really good offraod so here's my question...
Fully Upgraded which is better offroad Muscle class or sport class?

While the Coquette won't out run either of these, it isn't impacted as much by going off-road. I have an interesting, but simple race bookmarked that's half dirt / half pavement. I ran it last weekend against a couple of other NODO crew members, both good racers and both using Elegys I came in second using the Coquette, but I was clearing catching up to the front Elegy on the off-road section and the Elegy would pull away on the pavement.

Now that I look at this through a new light, I realize I was wrong. the best in class for offroading is both the Elegy and the Massacro. The Elegy is the best for steep terrain where torque and drivetrain are big issues, but outside of that the Massacro reigns king. It has a higher top speed on dirt and is really well adapted to driving in rough terrain, so if you were asking me which one was better for offroading in a broad spectrum, I'd say the Massacro.
