Thankfully I've never had a problem when racing with fellow crew mates, I mean accidents do happen but everyone always acts accordingly.

Ugh, Thank you. I don't have a mic so I can't do anything but blast my horn XD But even if I'm in second and I accidentally spin someone out, I'll wait for them.

What is the etiquette for A) If you crash and another racer crashes into you, righting your position and putting you on track again whilst they have come to a stop sideways. And B) If you clip moveable objects on the track (poles, signs etc.) and they cause someone behind you to crash. I've never seen anyone wait for the second act I mentioned but I have been messaged after a race with a "thanks for the debris."
Edit: Just want to add a bit on to the first point, I'm talking you have crashed and are on the track, not that you have pulled out in front of someone, you are perhaps stationary right after the crash and assessing the situation or the crash has just happened / is still happening.

I haven't read anything about both of these, but because this thread is more about lag, I think you'll get more answers if you copy your post to this thread!

A lot of the rules are just loosely based so to say. NoDo don't have throttling rules which state "you must do this in a race" apart from the obvious like trolling etc. The term that's used a lot is "gentleman's racing" meaning you should just be respectful to your opposition. Generally if situation A happened I'll wait because that was my fault it happened to them. On the other hand if I come round a corner and someone is sideways after oversteering for example and I hit into them, then I won't wait. That's more their fault for making the mistake and blocking the racing line. As for the lamppost situation, they are something you hit by accident so you can't be expected to wait for it. Also if you wait just after you hit one then it won't de-spawn so just keep on going. Obviously there is something you can do to avoid it and that's not to take the weaving through 59 posts and 5 dumpsters to get the perfect line, if I'm in a race with people behind me I won't try to take the inside of the lamppost cuts just in case I do mess it up and ruin the race for others.

Yeah, as a new member here was was disappointed racing with crew on a playlist. I frequently had people pitting me, ramming me off the road, and blocking me in until i crash. I thought everyone followed these rules, but i saw not a single person following any of these guidelines. Not a single one of the 8 race playlist was a clean race. I did have some people following rules though. And when they did it was fun racing with that one person. It seems to me that new people don't read the rules of our crew at all and they REALLY NEED TO!

I understand your frustration, but (unless the PL was hosted in TS) you may have been playing with people who haven't read the Guidelines because they're not on the forum.

If there are crewmember(s) that are not following the guidelines, you have some options: -Try to handle it at the lowest level first. Message them politely and let them know they hit you off and did not follow the crew guidelines. -Gather screenshots, videos, and messages. If necessary make a report with a Commissioner.

Yea so far I've done one race with one crew member on PS4, was going to re-pass him at the finish line after leading the whole race and he wrecks me so he can win. Not a big deal but not what the crew is supposed to be about.

Not a big deal but not what the crew is supposed to be about. Best thing is to 1. Send him a message. 2. Record it/save footage and send it to a Commisioner. In the result screen try to see how many bars the guy had under his crew tag. If it was 1 bar he might not have even seen our Crew Guidelines.

Losing whilst racing fairly is always better than winning whilst racing unfairly.

What about if the person next to you, or just in front of you, is laggy and spins out while taking a corner and you are not sure if you hit him on his screen???

Ask them in voice chat if you hit him/her. If you don't have a mic, type it in chat. Ideally you'd both have a mic and you can talk it out quickly and figure out what happened.
