I am actually getting quite tired of this now. Several crew members have been rage quitting from playlists just because they are in last place or because they DNF a race and It is actually really annoying. I host a playlist with around 4 or 5 people in the daytime because not many people are on and then we are left with only 2 players in the lobby so it really is pointless continuing. There are several few members who constantly do this and I'm sure in the crew guidelines It states that you are not supposedd to rage quit and stay to the end. I understand that some people have to go for dinner or they have to go out fine, but certain people do this everytime I am in a playlist with them and It really is frustrating and I know I'm not the only one who feels this way.

This is literally my reaction whenever people rage quit:
In all seriousness though, I completely agree with you. And the worst part is that it makes it a bit harder for me (maybe just me personally) to race with people from NODO and NODO2 that I have not raced before. 9/10, I'm only truly comfortable racing with people that I know and trust.

I'm often in last place when I race with some of you. Instead of quitting I take that as an opportunity to better myself and see if I can catch up with the person in second last. Even if I don't I at least try and improve my lap times and have a mini competition in my head to beat the guy in front.
Quitting = not improving.
Not giving up = improving, even if it's a tiny step it's still better than nothing.

Whenever I find myself nearer the back end of a race I will try to catch the person one place ahead and If they are too far ahead then go for the best lap I can achieve, as you said quitting improves nothing and if anything is only going to piss people off. Even when In a playlist, I always want to finish as high as possible and when you're down a bit you have to push yourself more and you know you have to improve.

Same boat as driftin, I'm often last (or close to last), but always try to find better lines and improve my own laptimes. Raging never gives you any chance to improve.

I agree with this thread in saying that rage-quitting is wrong and all, but if I have to leave I am definitely not going to finish a playlist. Usually I will send a message to the host of the playlist saying sorry and that I have to go, but I think that we need to be understanding that sometimes a player might not want to finish all sixteen races in a playlist and that that is OK.

I never quit unless I have to, I usually lag out most often, but I like racing with the crew in playlists it's fun to see lots of people racing around

Craig 9876 I'm hoping for your sake you got disconnected from my playlist yesterday Nevertheless I completely agree but often the people who rage quit aren't on/aware of the forum so don't see this sort of thing annoyingly.

I disconnected from Xbox live as soon as I finished. I always finish a playlist.

I know what you're saying but yeah, If people could send a message that would be a help. But there are a certain number of members who ALWAYS quit when they are not top 3 in the playlist or they are losing a race. I completely understand If people have to go out or go for dinner or something.

I usually run playlists of NoDo created races and if someone disconnects during one my feelings get a little hurt, but I just tell myself this:

It's wierd but i havn't had much problems with this on the PS3 but one problem i've had is that people quit halfway trough races if i choose to do 8 laps of LSGP many NoDos quit on the first 3 laps.

Edit: Previous suggestion removed
For all members running a playlist, I'm always happy to join if possible, I won't quit regardless of my place, and I'm even happy to join into a playlist in progress.
Thanks!

If there are people who do this consistently, why not call them out? I think it is much more effective to praise publicly and criticize privately. That way no one gets bitter towards others for calling them out, and everyone has a chance at redeeming their image if they do quit out a lot. All naming and shaming does is embarrass the guys that do quit, and that doesn't do any real good for the crew.
