So wondering if anyone is giving thought to a Manufacturer Championship/Series, featuring cars only from one make, or perhaps a Manufacturer Showdown, for example Pegassi vs. Grotti.
The one that first comes to mind is Ubermacht, with 3 cars, and up to 6 if you include variants. That could be run as a multi-class event or a single class. For example, 5 teams of 3 drivers; or 3-4 teams of 4-5 players, and the teams pick which class their drivers will run for the event/series.
Would there be any interest for something along these lines? Have the crew already done something like this? What other manufacturers might be good, taking into account using upgrades to maybe balance strong cars vs. weak cars.
I just think we need more events from day to day, possibly stand-alone events where maintaining attendance isn't a factor. I see alot of NoDos on throughout the day, and I'm sure we'd all love the chance for more options on events to sign up for based on our real life calenders.

I misread this first before I understood what you meant. Sounds like a good idea, if you don't mind I might try to host something similar in my own crew ;-) Would be interesting doing one for Benefactor in Sports. With the Feltzer, Surano and Schwartzer. Could also be fun having 3 teams of 5 drivers in each set of cars, measuring the avg lap times in each car and using a start delay similar to what was done in the F1 v V8 v Road Car challenge in Melbourne. This give the lobby 15 spots for the competitors and 1 spot for a pace car/race leader.

I like this idea. Some ideas for a playlist:
Benefactor: Dubsta - SUV Feltzer - SPORTS Panto - COMPACT Schafter - SEDAN Dubsta 6x6 - OFF-ROAD
Grotti: Carbonizzare - SPORTS Stinger GT - SPORTS CLASSICS Turismo R - SUPERCARS
Vapid: Blade -MUSCLE Bobcat XL -VAN Bullet -SUPERCAR Dominator -MUSCLE Peyote -SPORTS CLASSIC Radius -SUVS Sadler -UTILITY SandKing XL -OFF-ROAD Stanier -SEDANS
or
Vapid Blade + Dominator + Hotknife (for those who have it) as a mixed MUSCLE race
Ubermacht Oracle + Sentinel + Zion - as a mixed COUPE race

A playlist that doesn't reoccur in the same time every week would be good to suit people's plans might be a good idea.

Some ideas for a playlist: Benefactor: Dubsta - SUV Feltzer - SPORTS Panto - COMPACT Schafter - SEDAN Dubsta 6x6 - OFF-ROAD Grotti: Carbonizzare - SPORTS Stinger GT - SPORTS CLASSICS Turismo R - SUPERCARS Vapid: Blade -MUSCLE Bobcat XL -VAN Bullet -SUPERCAR Dominator -MUSCLE Peyote -SPORTS CLASSIC Radius -SUVS Sadler -UTILITY SandKing XL -OFF-ROAD Stanier -SEDANS or Vapid Blade + Dominator + Hotknife (for those who have it) as a mixed MUSCLE race Ubermacht Oracle + Sentinel + Zion - as a mixed COUPE race Or Benefactor Feltzer + Surano and Schwartzer as a mixed sport race. A single make playlist going through their cars in each class is an idea I hadn't thought of, good one. I originally was trying to focus on Manufacturers with atleast 2 cars per class that could be used in a single make event or a showdown event. For showdowns, I think there should atleast be 2 cars per manufacturer, probably a multi-class race since the cars will unlikely be equal in performance. These I think are going to be difficult to come up with. So here's the three event ideas: Manufacturer Lover's Event - a playlist of various car classes focusing on one make of cars (stock or tuned?) Manufacturer Challenge Event - a series of races, individual and/or multi-class, focusing on several models from one manufacturer (Ubermacht, Ocelot, Benefactor, Bravado, Albany... Pegassi? Grotti?) Manufacturer Showdown Event - a series of races pitting two or more makers against each other (Grotti v Peggasi, Declasse v Karin (sedans)) I gave the idea of an Ubermacht Challenge some more thought. My initial idea is 6 races. The first group of three races are single model races (1st race Oracle, 2nd race Zion, etc.). The second group of three races are multi-class races. Teams can be used throughout all six races, and drivers can only drive one model each in the final 3 races. It will be up to them and their team to determine the best strategy on who uses what car for what race. For the event length, I leave it up to the crew on desired length. If people want three 20 minute races over two nights, that's fine, but if people want longer races (30, 45, 60 minutes), we'd have to spread the event out over several weeks. This of course runs the risk of multiple dropouts and possible difficulty in finding replacements. I'd prefer something like... First Phase on a Thursday, Second Phase on a Friday. Quick, clean, get's the job done. The Ubermacht is the manufacturer I've been focusing on the most, I'll mull over other makes and models that could be used. I'm sure this same format could be applied to the Benefactors in the sports class as well. There are other makers with 2 cars in a class I really like the Lover's Playlist idea though.

I wanted to post an Idea like this in that mixed-class playlist thread, but I can't find it since it's name is so long and segmented, no surprise I think this is a great idea.
Although I have to say I would like to expand it to region or manufacturer ties since some companies will be limited by this approach.
Examples:
Ubermacht They are sttictly based in the coupes class so they won't end up in many events
Conversely: (RLV - Real-Life Variant)
GTA: Benefactor-Schyster RLV: Mercedes-Chrysler which are under Dalmier
This results in an increased selection for sports: Feltzer, Surano, Schwartzer, Fusilade, Banshee (yes Banshee is bravado, but Chrysler's famously worked on the Viper before)
Another is BF/VW Volkswagen is afterall one of the biggest auto companies in the world that own half of every other company in the world which leaves us with... VW, Audi, Lamborghini, Porsche or BF, Obey, Pegassi, Pfister
Here we have: Bifta, BF Injection Obey 9f, Obey Tailgater, Comet Vacca, Infernus, Zentorno
Playing off classic rivalries: Vapid vs Bravado
And for Region:
UK: Ocelot, Debauchee (both also operate under Vapid for the previous one) JAP: Dinka, Karin, Maibatsu ITA: Grotti vs. Pegassi
or even geographically historical
Allies vs Axis
Debauchee, Vapid, Bravado vs. Pfister, Grotti, Maibatsu

The Axis-Allies was a nice touch. I'm glad someone knows real life cars better than my ignorant yankee self.

Thanks for the thumbs up
Also: Lampadati the makers of the Felon are Maserati
So
Grotti-Lampadati = Ferrari-Maserati
If only there was FIAT and Alfa Romeo and maybe Lancia and we would have a whole ITA company set right there of blisteringly fast if not variable reliability GP right there
