Now while many of us here love to race in cars that top the test track listings on that our dear Prouny has graciously provided us, I feel that seeing cars in sports races such as the Massacro and Elegy are, while amazing those cars are, getting a little worn in terms of selection.
Now many of us choose the Zentorno or Turismo in Super races and we all know why, however what about other cars in their respective classes.
I don't see it too often nowadays but I race outside of playlists and events in my Entity in Super races, while I do also race my Zentorno I just love how this car works when it is on it.
On my other characer I actually don't have any of the top super or sports class cars aside from a Turismo R, infact I was racing some of my fellow crew members in a Surano in a sports race not long ago against Massacros and an Elegy. and did well for myself considering I was on a track I dislike.
Another fellow crew member noted how odd it was for me to race when I choose my Jester for a race even earlier than that one, and this was on a track he had made and drove in his Massacro.
All this pretty much gives me the idea that while I know cars matter against people of similar skill level, why don't we try diversifying ourselves a little?
I mean a lot of the cars we don't race in such as an Infernus or 9F aren't bad at all, yet whenever I see a crew member they are always in a Feltzer, Massacro, Elegy, Turismo or Zentorno.
It just feels like some of the other cars just aren't getting the attention they deserve just because they're a couple seconds off from the top spots. Sure they have their weaknesses but that variety just makes it more fun to drive than something a little more monotonous.
---
My point is bascially this:
What cars do you want to see the crew using more often in a race? What cars deserve more attention than we give them? In what races/situations do you see people wanting to use [this car] more often?
So... what do you guys think? well

See, that's my thoughts to a tee. I love my Infernus, 9F, and Entity and use them in many uncompetitive races all the time. The biggest group that deserves more use in my opinion is the run of the mill sports cars. The Elegy, Massacro, Feltzer, and to a lesser extent 9F, Jester and Comet all get a fair amount of use, but the truly average cars are not getting proper time on the track. I'd like to see an event focussed on driving cars like the Alpha, Coquette, Carbonizzare, Banshee, etc. Something like that would be very refreshing from the standard Massacro-fest I see every race.

Panto master race
The entity is still very competitive, just everyone has sold theirs for zentornos.
I am still interested to see which cars will change spots due to spoilers and whatnot.

Lately I've been pulling out my Banshee in sports class racing and it so far I've been pretty competitive with the people I've been racing with. I'm certain it's one of the most underrated cars.

Imo the Feltzer is just as competitive in the sports class as the Elegy/Massacro. It's just harder to drive. The same goes for the 9F which is very underused, but can perform really well. It's much harder to get consistency with though. The Jester has a lag issue similar to the Turismo R with kerbs in larger lobbies, which unfortunately ruins what's usually a great car. And I've found myself being beaten by the Carbonizzare when I'm in my Massacro more then once, it does require a more fastpaced track to take advantage of the superior speed however. I haven't tested out the Comet much yet, but aim to use it a bit more once we're done with our current GP event in RRR (Which I'm using the Feltzer for). I've also found the Alpha to be an extremely underrated car. It's not able to achieve the same lap times as some of the above-mentioned cars, but once you learn it you can get a really consistent performance, and it's obviously a great car to defend with due to the massive size of the car, it's not that easy to sneak past Other then that I find that the Primo is underused in the Sedans class, whilst being up there with the Tailgater in performance. The Stratum is more like the Alpha, it's an easy car to drive and can compete to a certain extent, great for defending, but it's also noticeably slower on the laps so it relies more on defending and consistency. For Coupes I'm surprised so few people ever mention the Jackal. It's outperformed by the Zion and Felon, obviously. But with the spoiler update it can really give the Exemplar a run for its money.

I don't know why the 9F is shunned so much be people. Its a brilliantly nimble car, even with its tendency to slide it can still more than keep up with the best cars when in the right hands. I sometimes get the feeling that if you could nail an absolutely perfect lap in a 9F it could be topping the lap times!

Imo the Feltzer is just as competitive in the sports class as the Elegy/Massacro. I think many, if not all regulars in the crew know this. In fact the Massacro and Feltzer seem to be much more popular than the marginally faster Elegy. I don't agree with that at all. I think it's one of the most planted and responsive cars in the entire game. The Elegy on the other hand...

Seriously though, it gets really fucking boring seeing the same cars all the time.

I've been thinking about this awhile, sports ispossibly the biggest class of cars in the game. So why don't we break it up into groups?
This way we can get more diversity and competittion amogst them, I mean so many of us already judge cars based on their handling and lap times recieved from them, so why not divide them into 3 groups based on hat reference?
Maybe: Street, Performance, GT

I just sympathise with that post parksgaurd just made =P

That way cars like the Elegy, Surrano and Coquette get their own class while the slower sports cars like the Schwartzer, Buffalo and Penumbra can compete in their own races. Also, though this has been spouted off a thousand times or more, buff the Bullet so it's competitive.

I read the shout box, apparently more diversity is something that is more desired, so I am glad I'm not the only one. My idea for the crew: Perhaps we need a personal points systems as well as sports class sub-divisions that NoDo uses in order to get more diversity. The Serrano > Cars can be part of their Podium Sports class, with everything else falling into street or GT Wha I'm trying to say is... Broughy1322 inspired the RPM system for racing in games, so perhaps we need that with cars. e.g. Anyone who places 2nd against an Elegy in a Sultan should recieve more 'points' than the Massacro Racer in 3rd for using what we believe is an outclassed/underpowered car and placing significantly. We should try to organise a GP based on this Sports subdivision and Points system concept so it can inspire variety, as well as create a system that can be applied to the entire crew when it comes to what cars they use for racing. I would not only bring more variety in the game but add another level of competitiveness , while also adding satisfaction in defeating someone in a 'better car'
