reavous some quick tests with the Dominator were very promising, turn 2 now is spot on. What banking do you have on that white part on turn 1? Any chance you could lower it slightly? It's 15, I can lower it to 12 or 13, the original banking is 18. I'm not sure at what point the difference in banking will cause cars to lose too much traction crossing the threshold.

reavous maybe experiment with the brand new incline/decline pieces to form the transition between turn 1 and the apron?

redlaserbm I changed the white banking to 12 degrees. It seems to work fine, I'll look at the new incline pieces in case it isn't an improvement.

Oh, also, in order for me to get a good race length reavous I will need the track at least doubly-routed (2 times around for a single lap). I need people to go around the track about 120+ times to get to a 45-minute length race.

I'll double up the checkpoints after dinner. I tried the 12 degrees in my custom Dominator, it's different, the outside line is a bit harder for an odd reason.
I just updated the track with the checkpoints doubled and tweaked, there was an angle you could attack in turn 1 that would cause you to miss the checkpoint. They shouldn't be able to be missed, even when pegged against the outside wall. I also tweaked turn 2's wall to give a little more breathing room at the two "pinches." It won't affect the driving line, but if you need to use your crash avoidance skills, you will have a tad more room in those areas.

reavous absolutely love the track now, it's a beauty to drive on, especially turn 2. With the event's rules for season 2, I do request one more change for the inclusion of a slow pit and fast pit--I'm kinda lazy, I didn't really drive though the pits to see how long they take, but they appeared to be of appropriate length. Some sort of slow lane which takes about 3-5 seconds longer than the fast lane would work out great. (Still try experimenting with the incline/decline props like I suggested earlier if you can to see how they work in turn 1 for a transition between banking and apron.) Other remarks about track selection for season 2: -I'm not gonna strictly abide by this but I am looking at trying to produce a schedule so that 3 races in the championship are Gauntlet races, 3 are Dominator races, and 2 are Slamvan races. -Further testing on ovivo's Montreal did not turn out great, I am no longer strongly considering it for inclusion in this championship - Skirakzalus recently published a short road course which I feel is worthy of consideration for inclusion in this championship. Initial tests with the Slamvan and Dominator went well, and it is possible the Gauntlet could be used as well. It's quite short--even in a Slamvan lap times hover around just 50 seconds--and has quite a few tight turns to it, but I feel the short length gives it some appeal. There aren't too many championships out there that will run short road courses like these and this event runs a lot of very short tracks to begin with so it might fit in very well. -I revisited Arcadius GP with the Slamvan and found this track drove surprisingly well with this vehicle, so I want to give this strong consideration for season 2. -I am working on a progressively banked oval with some of the new props. Depending on how racy it gets it could end up somewhere on the schedule for S2.

I've added a split to the pit-lane and placed a couple of slow-down zones. I'm still experimenting with alternatives to the first turn. I'm concerned the new parts will give the inside too much traction and re-narrow the racing lines.

reavous found an issue with checkpoint placement I'll go over the checkpoints again, I thought I fixed that issue. I have to change the intensity of the added slow pit-lane slow-down pads, they were over the 3-5 second recommendation. They were on strong, I'm changing them to normal. EDIT: I've pushed the inner-wall towards the turn a little and moved the inner checkpoints to close the gaps. I've run it a few times and haven't found any issues so far.

New track worthy of consideration for season 2. Progressively banked half-kilometer oval although initial tests show the bottom lane is considerably faster than the other lanes with most Broughcar-spec vehicles. Might be able to create an interesting racing product with the slamvans.

Is it likely that there will still be a Ruiner race? Couldn't help noticing that it wasn't in the list of cars that you mentioned recently.

Just letting everyone (esp redlaserbm) know that I'm currently making three Broughcar-worthy tracks, I'll link them all in here once they're done.
